Wilson 358
I thought Turnbull did well today against West Ham. Do you think he can do the job against Inter? I'm not so sure, I mean it was only West Ham. However he really did do a good job today I think. He let one goal in but it was a cracker and I doubt Cech would have saved it also lol. I don't wanna doubt the lad, I am putting my trust and faith in him if he does (most likely) play against Inter. He will also gain experience in a big match like this (Chelsea v Inter) and he will learn a lot, despite the fact he still has a lot to learn so it can only do him good lol. So hopefuly he does a good job and he can start to make a name for himself against Inter!Go on Turnbull son!!! :D
Rubber bullets 1,183
For the good of Turnbull no goalkeeper could of saved that cracker from Parker so lets hope he does not beat himself up on that. And despite not having to do much, he did what he needed to do and looked much confident in the air then Hilario or Cech a few months ago. cfc-meleady 192
I don't think anyone could rate him by the game today, he only had to make one save.
chrismada9 1,948
One interesting thing to point out .... if Turnbull plays against Inter on tuesday it won't be the first time he's faced them!Remember:- Chelsea 2-0 Inter Milan during the United States tour before the season! Kez 2,727
One interesting thing to point out .... if Turnbull plays against Inter on tuesday it won't be the first time he's faced them!Remember:- Chelsea 2-0 Inter Milan during the United States tour before the season!Very different game coming up though. I didn't see the game today but a big win can only boost confidence before the game. Lets hope Turnball can do the job.
Blueboy 14
Inter lost 3-1, we won 4-1. Turnbull was decent, but didnt had much to do, so we can judge him on this game. I don´t know about the Inter game, experience could come in handy with Hilario. Althoug Ross also isn´t a youngster anymore with his 25 years of age... boshman 1,073
He didn't really have anything to do today so i don't think you can judge him on todays performance. Although like sam81292 said, he was very confident coming for things in the air which our goalkeepers seem to lack. Going on to the Inter game. Inter are a totally different proposition that West Ham. With the likes of Eto'o, Sneijder etc, they are a bit better than West Ham. Hopefully our defence can protect him as best as they can. We just have to put our faith in him and hope he does well. Come on Ross, have a worldy son!
Blueboy 14
'He deserved to play this game because he has trained very well.I think he will play on Tuesday.'Ancelotti in the post-match reaction of West Ham, seems like Hilario isn't going to make it, i'm not sad about it though:whistling:
NattyBlue 44
Shit happens though eh, Alex must play though I think...Carv hasn't been good lately and Alex is always beastly imo he deserves to play vs Inter.
Ray. 217
Think he's possibly lacking in confidence, just need to get behind him again on Tuesday as the pressure for him will be immense.

Shane 2,275
If we lose a few idiots will have him as the first to blame.
Rubber bullets 1,183
This game will either magnify or shatter his confidence. Edited March 14, 2010 by sam81292
Steve 10,227
Ross had a decent game against the hammers he didnt really do anything wrong and he seemed confident coming out for the ball. He also put through some great long throws. Going to be interesting to see him against Inter.
5354 204
At least we got Zhrikov back.... I hope the defence can tighten up.
kbchel 2
alex is solid but calva's pace is needed to deal with etoo and milito's counter
EskWeston 696
alex is solid but calva's pace is needed to deal with etoo and milito's counterNot too sure that Carvalho is as fast as he used to be! I wouldn't think he is much faster than Alex tbh. I would much rather Alex to play from now on because he is now the better defender of the 2. With regards to Turnbull it is very hard to judge anything from the west ham game but he didn't make any errors so that has to go in his favour. northernblue 2
He didn't have a bad game against Inter either, you could perhaps argue that he conceded at his near post but it was a good finish by Eto'o so it would be a bit harsh to blame Turnbull.Other than that he did the basics well - that is all you can ask of a 'keeper and it is amazing how many you see who fail to collect crosses of deal with back passes properly. 5354 204
Damn, why is Hilario on the bench?I seriously rate Turnbull higher than Hilario....
