Spike 12,049
A bit weird about getting Desailly as a coach without him having obtained coaching badges.I'm almost sure he has his badges as Swansea also attempted to sign him. Personally, I would love his Desailly, Zola and Leboeuf all came back. Though I doubt Loboeuf wants to leave his cushy mansion in Los Angeles and somebody correct me if I'm wrong but I recall Leboeuf saying that his next door neighbour was David Beckham! Superblue 6,372
A bit weird about getting Desailly as a coach without him having obtained coaching badges. As we found with AVB, studying text books and gaining coaching badges does not IMO beat experience whether thats playing or coaching. Robbie played with desailly and obviously then could see how good he was at marshalling the back line and his wealth of experience. Terry has always stated what a massive influence he had on his own game. Put simple when you've got it, you've got it!

However even Di Matteo has earned his stripes with coaching badges. Just because Desailly was a fantastic defender and leader, doesn't mean he'd be the same as a coach, it's a complete different environment. I trust Robbie's judgement though.Any word on Newton's job? Jase 43,479
Can't see why RDM wouldn't want to keep Eddie at the club. He brought him in last season and played his part in helping the team achieved the success we had. Pretty sure the club would let RDM decide his backroom staff, that is unless they want to cause problems for themselves.

BlueLion. 21,491
As long as Eva's staying I'm not too concerned! Eddie deserves to stay though, his contribution to the cause last season cannot be underestimated.

Like having training @ Cobham as opposed to Harlington.

BlueLion. 21,491
Really don't want Guardiola here. Not because I am against him, but I am against his style of play. I think he would fail in his attempts at turning us into a successful team, because he would sacrifice functionality for free-flowing football. We just don't have the players to facilitate such a style.
Badboy 1,526
I think its absolutely disgusting the way this club has treated Di Mateo. The worst kept secret in football is they tried to get Pep in and they failed (Bastards) and they thought '' We might as well keep the European champion''. Pep will come out at about January time and he'll tell the world the desperate attempts of the Chelsea hierarchy to to get him and the horrible failure and it will derail our season. You know why they only gave him a 2 year contract ? Its because they believe he flooked it and they are trying to cover their bets. He won the European cup and he stabilized our team and he only got a 2 year deal.
