And there's no business logic in following up a massively expensive investment (or in this case, a loss) with anothe risky buy...not saying I don't like Torres, just saying he has yet to perform. I can understand Romans reluctance to splash it down when Modric is still an option.

Lampard shouldn't be a guaranteed starter if he underperforms under AVB, apparently even JT isn't safe.
