Yeah I joked with someone about this as the first time that I had worn the away shirt was to Villa and have wondered since then whether it was unlucky. I wore the home shirt yesterday, so now i'm not sure. The away shirt doesn't seem to be bringing us much luck. I think I may still wear the home shirt for Man City and depending on the result decide after that whether to wear the away shirt again.

Pretty ridiculous. The game doesn't care what shirt you are wearing. Whatever shirt YOU are wearing there will also be fans wearing different, so that makes no sense. This discussion should be about what shirts the players are wearing. FFS who cares what the fans are wearing, as long as it supports the club!

interesting..

i don't agree with the shirt being unlucky for fans, although once you lose so many games in a particular shirt this must stay in the players minds.

Its certainly a coincidence we haven't won a competitive match in the new away kit, although we did beat Milan.

in a pre-season friendly, not a competitive match with titles on the line.

different state of mind.

So since they don't know what shirt fans are going to be wearing why would it affect their playing? Luck is nonsense.

Pretty sure Steve was being sarcastic.

Hence why I said it was a friendly match.

At the end of the day, its purely coincidental... we played alright on Wednesday night but Rovers were better. No excuses at all.
