Pearce is an idiot, and he is starting Mancienne in midfield because he named him captain.

That's actually what I think he as well. He, like Capello, had made a mockery of this whole captaincy thing :doh:

Genuinely agree with you there.

For the record, for the people who say Rodwell has no talent or potential.... basically, you're idiots. That kid is one of the brightest young English talents and could go on to become a great for whichever club he moves to.

However, we don't need him, I agree there. He's probably only truly worth £10 million, but since he is English and young you'd have to pay about £25 million... not worth it when we have a more inventive option in McEachran and someone with at least equal potential in CC.

Given Andre' recent buys I'm not too concerned if we do get him. I personally don't think he's a top class player at the moment, like someone said above, average in every aspect. We don't really need more of these types of players, I think we need creative/passing specialist like Modric, Xavi, etc (though not those exact players obviously). If it was up to me, I'd go for Montolivo who will be available on a free, and I'm sure could be motivated to come here for various reasons. But it's now up to AVB and his scouting team and if they obviously see something that we don't, I'd say go for it.

He's a better option than Mikel, as versatile as Essien as can also operate as a CB or box-to-box. Potential successor to Lampard, wouldn't be the worst signing in the world. He is a consistent performer for Everton however it is fair to say he has yet to live up to his billing.

He would be a good signing but i think if josh had the same amount of PL games on his back as rodwelll he would be much better!

I think our goal should be to give josh playing time here our out on loan and we could have a young, English, playmaker that loves the best club CHELSEA!
