Stevan Jovetic

I want him to substitute Sturridge (if he leaves, which seem probable). I agree we need a class clinical finisher for our team!

That does not mean he is a bad striker, he has a very accurate shot and has all the atributes necessary to succeed in our team (movement, technique, finish, header, etc).

I dream of Falcao/Cavani + Jovetic + Lukaku (loan)

Yeah mate i 100% agree, i think i made the mistake of posting that under this thread as it made me seem like i didn't want jovetic which i obviously do. But i was talking in general about our need for a finisher and not the need for someone. who like to play wide or prefers to play just in behind etc. We have a greater need for a finisher than someone else who offers a greater variety (However if they can do both then that is by no means a bad thing). As i said earlier my one worry specific to jovetic would be the fact he is used to playing behind a second striker, however as you rightly point out that doesn't mean he cannot play alone and i would have him in this team in a heartbeat.

Class player but Jovetic won't leave Fiorentina in January..and considering how well they are doing in Serie A, he might just stay a little longer.

Hes been after a move for a while apparently but he promised to stay until 2013 at least so I'd imagine if we bid and it was a decent fee he'd bite Robbies hand off!

Jovetic and Falcao would be a truly great strikeforce. One can be a lethal finisher with both head and feet. Falcao would give us the strong presence and focal point we've been longing for.

Jovetic would bring us more flexibility with his ability to link up and also float along any position in the front 4.

Would support the signing of Jovetic. Perhaps not if he was our 'main man' but as a 2nd choice striker behind a heavyweight name like Falcao/Cavani/Lewandowksi. Jovetic will also cover for other positions.

Apparently Arsenal have made him their number 1 transfer target in the summer ahead of David Villa. We shouldn't give them a chance to sign him at all. Not seen as much of him this year but I've seen enough from last year to know his quality :D

Palmeiras have made CR7 their number one target!

Rumors that Ronaldo is keen on a 100mi/5year contract to play in the dazzling Serie B...

Problem is Jovetic is quite attainable as he is allowed to leave this season as the Fiorentina chairman promised him when we were credited with making a bid a while ago. So he is pretty attainable this summer...

Yeah, but Arse's problem is that no one wants to go there. I mean, if they have the same offer from City and Arse, where do you think Jovetic will go? Since he will be rather cheap, teams like Juve, Inter, City, Dortmund, Bayern and RM can easily go for him...

I seriously dont think Arsenal will return to be top contenders, it will take a major change inside the clubs culture (it is not just Wenger's fault).

Thats not true. Giroud rejected us to go there. Oxlade-Chamberlain rejected United, Liverpool, City and ourselves to go there. Podolski rejected Manchester United and Anzhi to go there.

Jovetic will go where he will get the most playing time and since Arsenal are short on strikers (as are we) he will see a big opportunity to get games regularly.

I actually seen Giroud at Montpellier (season when they won the league and he scored 30 goals or whatever it was) and thought he was a good striker tbh, could have been useful upfront for us as hes a decent finisher, makes good runs and is really good at holding the ball up.

Podolski is also a good player too, this reflects in his international record with Germany and hes only 27-28. Over 100 caps and at least 40 goals. Hes better with the NT than club but still he could have been good for United tbh different sort of winger to what they have.

Don't like AOC though, even though hes apparently a Chelsea fan, extremely overrated. Got a Euros place after 16 games last season somehow.... despite having 2 stand out games or something....

They are very good players mate, but still second tier (a level bellow very top players). No ona can win major titles without a few very top players, just look at us last year with an average team but Drogba, Lampard, Terry, Cole and Cech.

I always view Arsenal with a good team, missing exactly the 2-3 stars it needs. Imagine their team with RVP, Song and top GK. Quite impressive, but are they willing to make spend big to attract those kind of players? I dont think so...

Personally I like to see top players in the PL, just makes things good to watch and interesting. Jovetic if he goes to City doesn't really put any nails in the coffin of their rivals, I mean look how much Silva's form has dipped especially how everyone spunked over him early doors in his City career.
