If he does comes, I don't really mind since there isn't any young RB thats coming out from the team so far.

It will be nice to have the cover. He will probably be like what Zhrikov is. Sitting on the bench and waiting for chances.

Srna would NOT be a good signing. Why would we need him??

We are completely covered at right back... the only reason why Carlo would need to bring him in is to make up the numbers at right midfield, since we may be in need of another right-sided midfielder, but I don't think he would replace Anelka, and even if Anelka wasn't playing, Malouda could be switched to the right-side, and Zhirkov could slot into left-midfield.

pointless signing, don't want it to happen!

Latest is that we're going to loan him in January and sign him permanently in the summer.

Chelsea are chasing the signature of Shakhtar Donetsk right-back Darijo Srna, according to his agent.

Croatia captain Srna, who is reaching the end of his contract with the Ukrainian club, has impressed in the UEFA Champions League this season, where Donetsk sit second in qualifying Group H behind Arsenal.

The 28-year-old's exploits have reportedly attracted the attention of Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti, and agent Damir Stimac says a January loan move to Stamford Bridge, followed by a permanent move later this year, is on the cards.

"There's a chance of a loan in January before moving in the summer," Stimac said in the Daily Star. "We'll see then."

Thinking about this.. It may be good for us.. Good competition for positions

Bosingwa vs Srna

Ivanovic vs Alex

Bruma vs Terry

Cole vs PvA

2 specialised per position..

When you at it like that, i agree with you about two specialists per position.

But i'd rather have a young right-back (like Van der Wiel) then since Bosingwa and Srna are about the same age. That means we would be looking for two new RB's in the future.

Unless we have some exciting young RB coming through the youth ranks but i haven't heard anything.

And btw, what happens to Paulo?

But we we should be looking at getting young creative midfielders and a young and exciting striker first.

Yep exactly, that's the only down side to if this happens, he's 28.

Ah Paulo, good point. I think he may retire at the end of the season and if not we'll keep him around as long as he wants because he's a good substitute.
