That's why India will struggle.

We'll go with 3 seamers and one specialist spinner. Yadav, Kumar & Ashwin most likely. Our pace bowlers aren't great (we can thank the Indian coaching set up for that one!). Ashwin will do well, but I'm not that big of a fan of him anymore, I think he's become complacent with his side in the squad - Probably because there's no competition now.

With Zaheer's sharp decline, we've lot a leader of our bowling attack. Yadav's the only one I really rate out of our selection, Irfan might do well..

I think, Kumar could be very handy with his swing. He has a wicket in-swinging delivery and has worked on the out going as well. Ishant Sharma has to be most important bowler for me, if he does well and finds his rhythm, we could be looking to some surprises.

Ashwin seems fine to me. In a post match ceremony after we beat Australia 4-1, he said he needed a kick up the back side and he got one and has now realized his mistakes. He should be fine. The worrisome thing for me is the top order. Vijay and Dhawan are so inexperienced against Steyn and Morkel and numerous other swing bowlers. Not cool.

Ishant Sharma is the Rohit Sharma of our bowling. Well, even worse haha. Rohit atleast plays well for his franchisee ...

Where the fuck is Pujara in that squad?

Reruns of the 2002 Champions Trophy on Star Cricket atm, India v England.

Bloody hell, what a player Sehwag was. Absolute pleasure to have watched that man.

Sehwag is black and white. Nothing grey. Either doesn't trouble the scores or wins the match

oh and speaking of reruns - Saturday there is reruns of Munich 2012 all through the day.

That's harsh. Sure he's become that way now but earlier even if he didn't make a 50 or whatever, he'd give us a flying start with a very quick 30 or 40 odd and lift a lot of the pressure on the middle order. I've been watching India since 95-96 and I never recollect someone pushing Tendulkar out of that opening slot. We were too top heavy before Sehwag arrived on the scene; if Tendulkar left early we'd just collapse in a heap.

Probably agree with ODI's but the decline started long ago. . in tests he allmost never performed in 2nd innings of a test-match. A joy to watch though. Expert at crashing the ball through the offisde

The EspnCricinfo Champions Trophy Fantasy League. Much like any fantasy league. Pick a team, select a captain and hope they perform. Some great prizes on offer daily.

this is what i picked. Cook and Jamshed are proper bargains.
