Friendly reminder that KDH was a pretty effective Champioship mid, and Barrow is nowhere near that level. Good performances from all players are to be expected -- average/decent performances would be worrying IMO.

it was just madness to drop 30m quid on him

go around to the smaller but still good European teams and they would snap your hand off if you offered €35.5m for a CMF of higher quality than KDH

Happy for him, he is finally able to show how classy and clinical he is. Before his injuries, in his last 2 seasons at RB Leipig he was probably one of the best players in recent Bundesliga history with the impact he had and his influence on RBLs play. He may not be this force of nature anymore or might just not need to be. but he remains the best finisher in the squad, so an absolute luxury of a backup striker to have. More so than Jacksons improvement in form, Nkunku can be the reason why we dont need another striker if he stays fit.

Maybe, but just to show that the level of the opposition is determinant esp when it's a wide gap like this. We are pretty similar to Man City in comparing for example... even if we'd likely lose a lot more than win against them.

The level of opposition today is as bad as it gets; don't read too much into it.
