Tortilla9 390
Was too lazy to put my usual caveat about Guillen - take it for what you think it's worth.
Madmax 9,219
Guillem is hardly reliable. I wouldn't be surprised if he is indeed 'Harry Harris' from ESPN Soccernet.

nadavTKL 1,787
"will be". Future tense So he "wont". Assulin is very talented, but i can promise you that he wont be world class. The most sucsessful israeli is Yosi, and i think he is the the best of all time along side with Eyal Berkovich. From what iv'e seen, thier isnt a reasonthat he will be better than them. He played for barcelona, right, that doesnt say much. Not every Barca B player grows to be Leo Messi. lionsden 4,689
Why are we targeting strikers when our main weakness has been and still is lack of creativity. 3 out of the 4 players we have been strongly linked with are strikers (Lukaku,Aguero,Neymar).. . .classic case of misplaced priority. Gourlay and roman better get their priorities straight.

I'm for all but for Roman's player gifts to his managers *cough* Shevc *cough henko *cough*

termninja 5,290
Aguero is not a Chelsea target, don't know why would anyone think he is.Dressing room source told you? You know, if we were talking only when transfers were 99% possible or were official that would lower the fun a lot Take a look at what Mourinho did with Eto'o at Inter. He played both him and Milito together, but he used Eto'o as a winger and look at how well he did. Lots of people here including me here never expected Torres to be wearing blue but here he is today. Everything is possible in football, don't forget that Oh and welcome to the forum, enjoy your stay Make sure you pick an avatar and introduce your self here.Cheerz

ruggedknot 105
Guillem is hardly reliable. I wouldn't be surprised if he is indeed 'Harry Harris' from ESPN Soccernet.Contrary to the usual belief of every so called 'expert' out there who do spew a alot of bullshit all the time , I have every reason to believe Guillem is one of the few actual insiders of the sport , especially in Spain who has personal relationships with footballers/coaches , on a name-to-name basis . Of course , the easy and usually the righ/sane thing to do among us is to dismiss these journos outright with some of the ridiculous rumours that do come out - re : the daily fail , the sun , harry harris and so on . Looking at all of what Guillem has said , including breaking the Torres news when nobody would've even thought of it , the way he manages to get an interview with the top personalities of football , re- Jose Mourinho through Sky espanol as the medium , his website with personal interviews with players and coaches in the game ( there was one Lampard piece months ago on there which I'm sure many of us on here don't even know of ) , the scoop he gave on Juve making an offer for Aguero , which was confirmed yesterday by the Athletico prez himself , among many other instances . Even a player like Torres who hasn't really given a sit down exclusive with any press out of England , only deals with real football journos like Guillem and Sid Lowe ( Sports Illustrated ) , who wrote the only real article detailing how things went down on the final day of the transfer window when Torres moved , here : http://sportsillustr...rres/index.htmlI'm like anyone else in here , skeptical in what the press say with linking every half decent player on the planet with us ever since Roman came along . I can however , after considerable period of time spent looking around and about transfer news/speculation , reading about interviews , listening and watching them , reading actual blogs and articles of the sport , the kind of insight and detail you'll find in a Rolling Stone's magazine from the 70's with a reporter who travels with a band in the back of a van , can say that Guillem is one of the very few real insiders and true journos of the sport . He doesn't even do it just to sell papers or make up headlines , he seems to take actual pride in being involved with the sport and many of its various figures . For all that and more , I think he's very very legit .You don't have to take my word for it of course , I'm not one of the regular posters in the forums with supreme credibility hah , since I spend most of my time looking up information rather than sharing opinions . But after wading through a lot of bullshit in the media and even the press , half or more of which annoyingly being tabloid filth , there are a few , very few reporters and journos out there who know their trade. EskWeston 696
Would love to see us finally sign Aguero. Imagine a front 3 of Torres, Neymar and Aguero........ Aguero is a quality player who would certainly bring some pace and creativity to our attacking play, something we are seriously lacking.
