Transfers need to be well thought out, also money needs to be considered if Atletico Madrid are going to hold us to Ransom then we probably won't do business with them, we still have weeks left on the window anyway so people shouldn't get too excitable yet. Wait and see what happens.

No news is better than bad news. All the players that we have been pursuing have made it clear whether we were snubbed or not (Torres, Neymar, Silva, etc). For all we know Roman is sitting at a oval table in Madrid finalizing the deal.

Another Atletico player reportedly attracting the interest of several European clubs is Sergio Aguero.

However, the Argentina international is under contract for another two seasons and has a buy-out clause of 60 million euros.

"We want him to continue with us and he wants to remain here," said Cerezo. (Atletico president Enrique Cerezo)

"However, if any club was to pay his buy-out clause, then we would need to ask the player as there would be little we could do about that."

No way man! I'm not giving up hope! There's a whole month to go yet in the transfer window, and a lot can happen in that time! We just need to sit tight and be patient! We all gave up on Essien when Chelsea tried to sign him a few years ago, and he wanted to come to us. Aulas kept delaying and blocking the move because he wanted to keep him at Lyon, but coming to the end of the summer, he finally gave in, and then he came to us.

It's the same with Cerezo and Aguero. Cerezo wants him to stay at Atletico, but Aguero has expressed his desire to go to Chelsea. I'm sorry, but when I see stuff like that, things look up for me. I'm not giving up on this possible signing just yet.

Well I don't think there is a point in chasing a player whose bosses don't want to sell him. If Aguero wanted to play in Chelsea so much he shouldn't sing that contract in January if I remember correctly.

Exactly. We have been pursuing him for too long and he has turned us down over the course of 2 windows. The world doesnt revolve around Sergio Aguero. If Aguero wants to really come to Chelsea he will need to come to an agreement. He cant hold us ransom to ridiculous wages and act like he is God-Sent to our team and that we should consider ourselves blessed to have him in our squad. Thats the type of character that will be well suited at City, so move along Aguero, you've missed YOUR chance and not the other way around.

I feel its not Aguero, its Atletico thats holding us to ransom. He's made a come-and-get-me offer way too many times to show any hint of him being smug about a move to Chelsea, or him coming here for money. I think he's one of those players who genuinely wants to come here to win something, to match their caliber with the club they're in. So i dont think he's the problem. However Atleti are cash-strapped, and Aguero is their chance to get as much money as they can.
