They won UEFA Europe League. I'm sure they got something out of it.

lol +1

I think it's positive that things are quiet, last think we want is a bidding war with Man City or Real I think things need to be assessed properly as in when all of our players return from holiday and then Carlo can step back and have a good look and think what he really needs to do. Making rushed unthought Man City signings is not what we need to do now. I'm not saying Aguero wouldn't be unthought, I think he'd be great. But I am worried at many of the members on this thread wanting a 'megastar' or someone similar.

Oh come on what do we need put money ourselfs to get Agüero this is rediculos he is the only real star young player who openly said we will love to play for us and we turn out back to him. What do everybody forgot the class of him in the CL and UEFA ??

No no but you know what maybe chelsea like to be rejected all the time or no like to buy player without other club with more chances of winning him.

Unbeliveble ....

I agree, it may have been good its been quiet so far. its Certainly a good thing we haven't publicly named him as a target, other wise as Gianfranco_Z has said, Citeh would have been all over him by now, also according to the FC Santos website we've had a bid rejected for Neymar, so maybe that means were finally gonna get the transfer ball rolling!

Right now City are the only big team other than oursleves who are in the look out for a striker.. Right now they have balotelli and dzeko as their targets.. I think Chelsea will lay down until City seal a deal with either or any other striker so that we can go after our target without real competition or bidding war.

Well, thats just my thinking. City will not want to come after another striker if they do sign one of the above. So if we are indeed on the look out for a striker we may well wait until City wrap up all their dealings

As if they need another striker. Adebayor, Tevez and Santa Cruz. Although Bellamy will probably go elsewhere

But those three strikers.... Mancini will have a hard time rotating them, so why bring in another striker??

Well for me is very clear that we do not have any Pre aggrement for Aguero... For one simple reason if that would be the case Aguero should be all ready in Stanfor Bridge in the pre season. Chelsea do not want Aguero or he is in the lower part of posible Strikers.... or we are not buying any striker and that is very confusion for us.... for one site Chelsea make bits for Torres, in the other part Anchelotti claim that he does no need any other Stricker... and why are making Bits algo For Neymar....

So some please Explain ARE WE BUYING OR NOT A STRIKER..... AND IF YES IS THE ANSWER WHY NOT GOING FOR THE SECURE PLAYER LIKE AGUERO??

I can not undestand Chelsea at Transfer Windows.... this is really a Hunter House for us....

Transfers need to be well thought out, also money needs to be considered if Atletico Madrid are going to hold us to Ransom then we probably won't do business with them, we still have weeks left on the window anyway so people shouldn't get too excitable yet. Wait and see what happens.

Like Lyon did with Essien! Jean Michel Aulas became public enemy number one for us over that transfer saga!

No news is better than bad news. All the players that we have been pursuing have made it clear whether we were snubbed or not (Torres, Neymar, Silva, etc). For all we know Roman is sitting at a oval table in Madrid finalizing the deal.

Ok here's a bit of news, it's not too good though..

Another Atletico player reportedly attracting the interest of several European clubs is Sergio Aguero.

However, the Argentina international is under contract for another two seasons and has a buy-out clause of 60 million euros.

"We want him to continue with us and he wants to remain here," said Cerezo. (Atletico president Enrique Cerezo)

"However, if any club was to pay his buy-out clause, then we would need to ask the player as there would be little we could do about that."

time to forget about aguero.

No way man! I'm not giving up hope! There's a whole month to go yet in the transfer window, and a lot can happen in that time! We just need to sit tight and be patient! We all gave up on Essien when Chelsea tried to sign him a few years ago, and he wanted to come to us. Aulas kept delaying and blocking the move because he wanted to keep him at Lyon, but coming to the end of the summer, he finally gave in, and then he came to us.

It's the same with Cerezo and Aguero. Cerezo wants him to stay at Atletico, but Aguero has expressed his desire to go to Chelsea. I'm sorry, but when I see stuff like that, things look up for me. I'm not giving up on this possible signing just yet.

Neymar is the target, we have hard evidence for that due to the fact the club haven't denied the bid made for him.

i can't see the club signing two strikers, when we have Anelka & Drogba not to mention sturridge & borini.
