Joe Cole suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in the game against Southend United.

After a thorough assessment of the injury Joe underwent successful reconstructive surgery this morning. He will miss the rest of the season.

Manager Luiz Felipe Scolari said: 'I am very sad for Joe to have suffered this injury and I am disappointed to have lost a very important player for me and the club at such a vital moment in the competition.

'However, I believe that with his spirit, Joe will come back to Chelsea even better than before.'

In total Joe has played 20 times this season, scoring three times, all in wins against Portsmouth, Bordeaux and Aston Villa.

FUCK!

Or buy Arshavin...

I REALLY hope not as I'd love to see Sinclair or Stoch play more often. Stoch looks good even tho' he only played for about 10 mins tonight. He almost scored, too.

He looked great. Needs more run ins. Di Santo is Fantastic, I dont know why Scolari doesnt give him more time. He was great against Pool too.

Drogba can FUCK OFF!!....There are some serious signals there that Drogba has been reprimanded.

And Jose Cole injury doesnt surprise me. Sums up the luck we have had with injuries in last 2-3 seasons. Just as we thought we will have a full squad for the whole season, as Essien will be back in a month, we have Joe Cole out for the season.

And Malouda can seriously Fuck OFFF....And Kalou needs to pass more and more.
