I would say Conte, put into perspective the job Conte has done is far more impressive.
It's a far reaching example, but we were challenging for the quadruple under Avram Graant and we reached the CL final as well, obviously Allegri is better than Graant, but for me it's a similar situation.

And we won the CL with rdm.

So just like you just because allegri made it to the CL final shouldn't mean everything. You need to take into account context.

Conte by far did the better job of bringing juventus from the drum drolls into world relevance.

Simeone represents everything this club should stand for.

Precisely.

However we won't come cheap and the club won't give him full backing in the transfer business as that'll put Emenalo out of a job, wouldn't it? So that looks unlikely.

So, to me, with Pep gone, the best candidate is Guus Hiddink.

Just keep  Hiddink   one more season

Unfortunately, i don't think Hiddink has the tactical nous to go 1 on 1 with the likes of Pep or Jose in the Premier League. We need a manager who can go head on with the big boys.

Does anyone else feel that any new Chelsea manager will just be a puppet at the control & mercy of Emenalo and the club's hierarchy? We are kind of becoming a similar run club like Real Madrid. Emenalo is evolving to become the Pérez of Chelsea.

Hiddink went toe to toe with the best team in the history of football, and almost smashed them 2 or 3-0 had it not been for one of the wors refereeing performances ever.

He IS old, but he hasn't lost quite as much as people try to make us believe.

If no one is available, just give him a one or two year contract, establish a long term footbaling project, and let him prepare ground for the next manager and so on, no better manager for that, as he won't be asking for a long term contract.

What is the high on Simeone, though? He is way too similar to Mourinho in tactics and, i for one, do not like that style of play. I want us playing nice football, not defending against the big boys and getting red cards every other game. Simeone's Atletico are way too thug like in their approach at times and it's not something i am personally a fan of; if you are then fair enough.

might be easier with his style, to get us back towards the top, with a weaker squad than usual.

but he can't speak english, and relies on extreme motivation, so might not work
