We need a ruthless hit man, but all seems pretty stagnant. Not just us -pretty quiet January all round.

Most agents are multi millionaires or billionaires, and plenty of players are happy getting shed loads of cash for minimum work eg Bale 330k a week for poncing round Madrids golf courses.

It will get worse in the coming years with the pricing of players.

Good timing for us to have the best academy teams for generations.

That is a right shit source it looks like

Anything in Italy not coming from dimarzio isnt worth looking at IMO

But wouldn't be surprised if true.

Target number 1 Werner not available.

Target number 2 Dembele not available.

Then we went for short term solutions.

Cavani choose Atletico.

What else can we do?

We have good relationship with Milan.

We gave them Bakayoko in same circumstances 6 months loan with option to buy. We may try something similar with Piatek. Low risk but tbh he would not make it here.

Some great aspirational youngsters, very promising, and yes TV money if it steadily increases will stagnate the market.

A few changes now wouldn't be amiss considering our problems at the moment, however.

Form of Kepa, we could also do with a LB upgrade, a winger and striker ….things will probably happen in the Summer, especially if Abramovich has a new visa. :P

His wages may be why we did not go after him (although I believe he doesn't want to join another English club anyway).

Jesus. Knowing how cheap Spuds are that's probably like 5x what he's currently earning.

There is something very wrong happening at our club, how can we be the 6th riches in the world yet Atletic, Juventus and Inter offer such wages without problem?

Because 17m and big wages of 12m x4 year still amortises to a decent level and less than a £50million + wages which we seem to get stuck with...

We could easily sign him on that money- but people that cost double transfer fee would want parity- really fucking us up...

Whats the difference in the Cavani case. We and Atletico would pay the same shit but you only hear in media about us breaking our wage structure. Atletico also has Morata, Joao Felix and others getting paid a lot yet never seem to have a problem paying this money for Cavani but when it comes to revenue they are way below us, so wheres the logic.

He has a bad mentality and would be on a big contract bad fit for us his displays for Tottenham this season have been a disgrace.
