The likes of Lautaro and Dybala are key parts of their clubs. Why would Inter or Juve sell either? Especially with Conte and Sarri in charge, neither of which will maintain good thoughts of Chelsea. Conte in particular would probably do anything in his power to never sell us a player.

2 way street

he wants Giroud and Alonso

cannot say no outright (to us buying from them ever)

deffo can say no to us buying a particular player, but not ban the whole club if he wants to buy from us

and Dybala was almost out the door this past summer and Sarri blows hot and cold on him

my list is my preference of players who have even  the slightest chance for us to buy them (and I also added in the part about Icardi)

obviously if they were all guaranteed to be able to be purchased, I would not have listed 15 players

atm, I have barely any confidence in our board and ownership anyway if they fail to deliver a good CF and especially a really good LB this window

those two positions will fuck us hard more than likely down the road this remaining season, especially if Tammy goes down for even a few weeks

if we miss out on CL next year and also fail to cash in on Kante this summer, it could start a really bad financial spiral

as we are blowing out potential sales revenue for multiple years now by failing to sell off dregs and also are running risks yet again over contracts

I think we are a poorly run (football player/contracts/scouting end) team for the past 6 years

we careen back and forth between archetypes of style of play and made poor poor business decisions in terms of player personnel

another (as far as I can tell) PURE LIE from the Sun

our buyback clause on Boga is 15m euros (seeing this in so many Italian and other sources), NOT £3.5m like the Sun started up all the rumours with, as did the Daily Mail (quelle surprise), another POS rag

Both those shit-tossers should be burnt to the ground (not just over football obviously, those cunts played a huge role with Brexit lies, etc etc)

Sports Illustrated is the biggest sports mag in the US for like 50, 60 years and I have almost never seen them publish knowingly false info (unlike the Sun ad the DM, who do it a dozen times a day)

Jeremie Boga: Chelsea 'could exercise' €15M buy-back clause for Sassuolo winger

This. People have no actual idea of how anything actually works and yet try to come out looking like big shots and dissing on the board.

Clear run??? I wish. Most every top 20 team is going to be beating down his door this summer, especially with that crazy low RC.

True but which big club, apart from us, really need a striker AND can guarantee/offer consistent starting game time?

A lot of them IMHO. Including Barca and Real. Suarez turns 34yo next season and is badly injured now, and Benzema turns 33yo and is also injured atm and becoming injury prone. Inter, if they lose Lautaro Martinez, is a great place as they play the double striker system he is used to. Liverpool, Manure, Atletico Madrid, PSG (if they somehow chose to not buy Icardi perm) Spuds, Arse, AC Milan (100 billion wealth owner now), Napoli, even Juve and Shitty.

I also absolutely do not buy the story that Bayern is 100% out. Nope.

I am super cynical when it comes to Chels chasing top 5 players versus other giant clubs. Especially if we disastrously miss out on CL. Not a chance in hell I think it is smooth sailing to grab Sancho, Werner, Chilwell (I say pass unless he is £55m or less ie. basically Grimaldo cost, which he wont be and a pass on Grimaldo too.) Hell, even pulling Declan Rice will be hard, although the easiest of the big 4.

Pretty much the only one we are in the drivers seat over due to us being number one club of choice by the player is Zaha, lolol. Maybe, maybe Rice.

TBH, I see no reason to NOT buy Zaha now, this window, if we can gwt Palace to come down a bit. Buying him absolutely does not stop us from going after Sancho and Werner, and he can play CF in a pinch and he is needed if Willian walks on a free as we are then down to two wingers. We absolutely will need to buy him if we miss out on Sancho as well, and better to get him now and help our CL chances overall.

Werner or Dembele are not break the bank costly, we are not buying a new number one GK, we are not buying a CB, we are not buying a RB, we can do BOTH  Telles and Gosens for a net cost of around zero to inly £5 or 10m max, and I do not see us spending big at MF, unless we (and we should) sell Kante.

Werner £25m (summer release clause)

Zaha £70m now

Sancho £120m

Gosens and Telles combined £10m net MAX

That is a total spend of £215-225m now and in summer

Surely that is doable (as we are now talking THREE windows)

We already have hundreds of millions feom other done and hope soon done sales, and if we sold Kante in the summer that is another 100m plus in the kitty. Rice would cost around £80m. So just that drops the cost of the 5 listed above down to around only £200m. And absolutely ZERO in terms of net spend when you add in all the other sales revenue.

ALL these are players we desperately need, and the funds are there. All these are players that are talked about with us daily. The board just needs to get it done. I have serious doubts they will.

I have reduced my hopes and targets immensely over the past 4 months or so, so it is not at all the case I am tossing out crazy shit. I would love to get Lautaro, but odds are massive we never get a sniff. If we miss out on Werner, I so hope the absolute WORST we end up with is Dembele.

But Barcelona already have Griezmann and if they are still keen on bringing Neymar back, then there is no chance they will go for Werner.

Zidane still seems to be relying on Benzema and god knows what is going to happen with Jovic. Might still come good.

Inter may be a possibility but is he the type of striker that Conte likes?

Liverpool are also a possibility but with Salah, Mane and Firmino not going anywhere any time soon, it's going to be hard for Werner to get consistent game time. And they just bought Minamino.

Man United have no chance, IMO. They are a mess of a club and seem committed to Rashford and Greenwood. They might be interested in Werner but they are so far away from challenging for the major honors.

Atletico Madrid...nah, especially if they are gonna get Cavani and Simeone always seems to ruin offensive minded players.

PSG, think they will sign Icardi. Will be very surprised if they chose not to.

Spurs...nah, not if they continue to stick with Kane and they're so far, far away from challenging for the big titles.

Arsenal, don't think so, not if they still have Lacazette, Aubameyang etc and again, they're very far away from challenging for the big titles. Heck, they've been out of the Champions League for so many years!

Milan and Napoli? Not a chance.

Juventus may be a possibility but Higuain, Dybala and Ronaldo are still gonna be around.

Man City maybe as well but if Aguero sticks around, then it'll be tough.

Bayern may still be circling around but if some of the recent reports are to be believed, then I don't think he'll go to them. He wanted to join Bayern last summer, even agreed a deal I think, but they didn't officially approach Leipzig for a deal and he was left furious over them. Plus, Lewandowski is still going strong and Bayern have a lot of wingers at the moment, also keen on Sane in the summer.

I don't know if you saw this link I previously posted but Werner said he dreams of playing in the Premier League (and ideally for Liverpool/Man United) and for a team that can win titles (which is not Man United at this point).

Disagree with a lot of this, sorry, I stand by my options. You leave far too much info out. And Griezmann and Neymar are so not number 9 types.  One is an SS and one is a winger. Age plays roles in many things as well.

You also underestimate AC Milan. Bernard Arnault did not buy them to fuck about. Same for Manure. They are still an absolutely giant global club, hot mess atm or not.

Bookmark my post and we shall see what happens. Absolutely zero shot we have a free run at any of them, save for Zaha and maybe Rice.

Yeah, but Werner can play as a striker or on the wings. And if reports are to be believed, Barcelona see Neymar as the successor to Messi, who god knows how many seasons he has left in him. Plus, Dembele is still around.

They are still a big club by name but not on the pitch. They haven't challenged for the league title, haven't qualified for the Champions League for a long time. They have a decent squad but will need a HUGE revamping of the squad to get back to their glory days and that will take what...3-4 years? And IIRC, they have been punished by the FFP and have to operate under the restrictions. Plus, they don't even have the same sponsorship level as United do.

That bit I agree but I just don't think that there will be a lot of clubs, as you initially mentioned, that can realistically get him and offer him what he wants. But agree to disagree I guess and we'll see in the summer. :)
