I would like to know how much of the add-ons we end up paying

the transfer fee was £59.75m (€70m)

and there is a potential £25.6m in add-ons (€30m)

The fact that we paid 60 million for a player as raw as Mudryk...

He was never worth half that amount.

Not too different from Caicedo or Enzo, neither player was worth anywhere near 100 million.

profoundly disagree

but we will not buy another GKer, that ship has sailed atm

Filip Jørgensen had better come good or we are fucked, we are not getting top 4 with Sanchez

as for CBs

time will tell, but I do not at all like our overall group atm

we all know what u want to say about the goalkeepers. And i am with you. The quality auf our goalkeeper(s) could be better. There is no clear number 1 and we all saw on sunday that sanchez is not good enough.

lets see what jorgensen is about because petrovic is decent, but has zero box controll and is only good on the line. i hope the enzo has a plan with jorgensen. Why should he brought him in otherwise?

For me Colwill and Fofana is a great pair of CBs. and we have tosin, disasi and badiashile as backup. i think that should be good enough for top 4 defensive wise.

Depends on his wage demands. If he wanna go big, he has to. If he can settle, he can find a team in PL easily.

Well he still has 3 years of £300k plus. He ca. Easily sit that out and retire. The money for him isn't the issue as he has the contract.

Unless he gets desperate enough to play.

Leaving his family in London might be just enough to remind him about the demands of being an elite footballer.

Being a family man can be as detrimental to an elite athlete as being a party guy; it really depends on the balance and dedication.

I just can't see anyone taking his contract unless it is Saudi. However, I can't see him in Saudi. This has toxic fallout written all over it.

Chelsea could now complete Ivan Toney transfer this weekend as Premier League rivals pull out of race

https://sportsview.co.uk/2024/08/Chelsea-could-now-complete-ivan-toney-transfer-this-weekend-as-premier-league-rivals-pull-out-of-race

Chelsea could yet be tempted to make a late swoop for Brentford striker Ivan Toney, with the Bees now likely to accept £45 million for the wantaway England international, according to the Sun.

The 28-year-old had been on the radar of plenty of Premier League clubs for a while, but only the Blues remain in the race after Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Manchester United all pulled out.

Brentford valued Toney at around £70m at the start of the summer transfer window but are prepared to drop the price to as low as £45m, which could see Chelsea move to complete a deal by this weekend.

The England international has played his last game for the London club from the look of things, and he was excluded from their matchday squad against Crystal Palace on Sunday due to the transfer interest in him.

Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli have tabled a £35m bid for the Chelsea target, but it was knocked back and they are set to launch a second bid.

However, Toney prefers to remain in England despite the money on offer in Saudi, and a source close to the Blues claims they remain very much in the hunt for his services.

Whether Chelsea will now proceed with an offer remains to be seen, as they have agreed a deal to sign Atletico Madrid striker Joao Felix today.

The 24-year-old Portugal international will pen a six-year deal with the Stamford Bridge club with the option of another 12 months, and he is expected to undergo a medical this week.

As a result, signing Toney could be off the cards, especially if manager Enzo Maresca decides he has enough firepower in attack.

Chelsea started the 2024-25 season with a 2-0 loss to Manchester City on Sunday at home and will look to do better when they visit Wolverhampton Wanderers next weekend armed with a new forward.

West Ham in talks to sign PSG midfielder Carlos Soler

https://sportsview.co.uk/2024/08/west-ham-in-talks-to-sign-psg-midfielder-carlos-soler

West Ham United have had a very busy summer transfer window as they have added eight new players to the squad.

But more transfer business is expected at the London Stadium over the final two weeks of the transfer window.

According to a report from L’Equipe, the Hammers are set to make a move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Carlos Soler.

The Ligue 1 giants are open to selling the 27-year-old this summer but are demanding a fee around £17 million.

West Ham are currently in talks with PSG, and they are said to be hopeful of reaching an agreement before the transfer deadline.

Soler started his career at Valencia and went on to win the Copa del Rey with the Spanish outfit in 2019. He made 226 appearances across all competitions, with 36 goals and 31 assists to his name.

The 27-year-old came to PSG in 2022 in a deal worth around £18 million. Last season, he played in 28 matches across all competitions, scoring twice and assisting four.

Soler mainly plays in central midfield but he can also be utilised as an attacking midfielder as well as a right midfielder. He is highly rated for his passing, through balls and ability to hold on to the ball.

West Ham have had an excellent summer transfer window so far. They have signed a top defender like Max Kilman, while Crysencio Summerville, Niclas Fullkrug, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luis Guilherme have also arrived at the club.

The Hammers finished ninth in the league standings last season but they are expected to make a big comeback in 2024-25.

Man Utd working on late summer deal for Manuel Ugarte

https://sportsview.co.uk/2024/08/man-utd-working-on-late-summer-deal-for-manuel-ugarte

Manchester United could be looking to add a few more players before the end of the summer transfer window.

The midfield is one area the Red Devils are looking to bolster, and they have been heavily linked with a move for Manuel Ugarte.

The 23-year-old defensive midfielder is one of United’s main summer targets, and the Red Devils are currently working on a deal to bring him to Old Trafford.

According to a report from The Guardian, the Red Devils are happy to wait until transfer deadline day to sign to sign Ugarte.

Paris Saint-Germain want a fee of around £51 million for the Uruguayan, and United feel the amount is way too much. There is an expectation that PSG could reduce their asking price towards the end of the window.

Fabrizio Romano has shared that Ugarte wants to move to Old Trafford, and he has already agreed personal terms with the club.

United are looking for a loan deal with an obligation to buy. Negotiations are ongoing with Jorge Mendes looking to broker a deal for his client.

The transfer guru wrote on X: “Understand Manchester United are working on loan with obligation to buy proposal for Manuel Ugarte.

“Negotiations to continue with this formula as Jorge Mendes’s leading talks with Paris Saint-Germain. Ugarte wants United, pushing a lot after personal terms agreed in July.”

Ugarte has been axed from the PSG squad, and it feels like the player could leave the club this summer.

From United’s perspective, a loan deal with an obligation to buy would suit United. It means that they will have to pay the money next summer and in the process, they can comply with the PSR rules more effectively.

He is known for his tireless and energetic style of play and would be a good fit for United. Scott McTominay has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, and in case he leaves, United should get Ugarte on board.

PSG would want to sell him directly, and the deal could drag on until the final day of the transfer window.

  • Diego Simeone: “Joao Felix out tonight? Soon you will be informed, it’s about a transfer. I’ve already been informed about that.”

  • Details of the Conor Gallagher deal with Atletico will not change, it’s the same as last week. Chelsea will receive a €42m guaranteed fee, and Gallagher already has all contracts ready and sealed. The deal is valid until June 2029, while his medical is already done, and formal steps will follow from Tuesday.

Now since Felix is done, we just need to sit back and watch PSG come in and take Osimhen

those two sales will pay for a big chunk of a PSG Osimhen fee

Not sure how reliable equipe is for PSG but if they are indeed interested we stand no chance.

Tbh I still don’t really know what to make of Osimhen. Sometimes he looks like prime Anelka with his finishing and movement. On other occasions  he looks like he has never played football before. The fact that he only has one season where he scored more than 15 goals is not really a worry cos his goals per minute ratio is still elite. The problem is, is he so injury prone that he only averages 20-25 appearances per season? Also him flopping so hard  in Bundesliga is not a good luck as is the fact that he too has to play afcon.
