COSTS x ASICS GEL-LYTE III OG“CANE VINE”

https://grailify.com/en/tradition-meets-innovation-costs-and-asics-present-the-unique-gel-lyte-iii-cane-vine

https://www.soleretriever.com/news/articles/costs-asics-gel-lyte-iii-og-cane-vine-release-date-august-2023

COSTS has been a staple for fashion enthusiasts in Shenzhen since 2012. After their last collaboration with ASICS, which focused on the Gel Trabuco, the two companies have now teamed up to give the ASICS Gel-Lyte III a retro aesthetic with Cantonese design tradition. Paying homage to the vibrancy of life, the Japanese brand focuses on numerous design adaptations that catapult this OG silhouette into a new chapter. A combination of materials creates a zen vibe with decorative cotton panels, while premium suede covers the majority of the upper. The ASICS stripes have been rearranged to form lychee vines. Together with the tongue, laces and sock lining, they reinforce the tangle of the native plant and symbolise growth.

The Cost x ASICS Gel-Lyte III "Cane Vine" has a great colour design with olive green accents on the quarter overlap and the embossed heel cap, which features the Chinese character for "extend". The dominant brown colour of the shoe symbolises the earth and harmonises perfectly with the cream tongue stitching and laces on the forefoot. The Cost x ASICS Gel-Lyte III "Cane Vine" will first hit COSTS stores on 29 August, followed by a global release in China on 25 August. We're hoping for a drop announcement here soon, until then you can check out the official images of this exciting collaboration below.

adidas Just Dropped ‘Night Navy’ Samba OGs and They Look Crisp

Style Code: ID2056

Colourway: Night Navy

https://www.sneakerfreaker.com/releases/adidas-samba-og-night-navy-ID2056-price-buy-release-date

The Samba is still a heavy hitter in the pop cultural zeitgeist, with fan-favourite colourways consistently restocking and selling out with the quickness. adidas have taken notice, and expanded their Samba OG offering beyond the simplistic black and white to meet the growing demand. The latest, a navy blue iteration, has just arrived at select retailers, and it looks crispy in classic colour-blocking.

Composed using ‘Night Navy’, the upper makes use of a supple leather base layer with complementary suede toe box. A ‘Cream White’ shade has been doused on the laces, Stripes and liner, alongside contrasting dark gum outsole. Classic Samba branding remains on the lateral in metallic gold foil, matching the complementary tongue branding. Rounding out the ‘Night Navy’ is the specialised Samba insole branding.

Yuto Horigome x Nike SB Dunk Low

https://sneakernews.com/2023/08/03/yuto-horigome-nike-sb-dunk-low-fq1180-001/

feature image

Winning an Olympic Gold Medal at the inaugural men’s street event in the Tokyo Games in 2021, Yuto has continued to increase his stock as one of the best street skaters in the world. Soon enough, he’ll make his imprint in sneaker culture with his first-ever Nike SB Dunk collaboration.

The 24-year-old has also teamed with Nike to drop his own design of the fat-tongued Dunk, applying grey-on-grey suedes, olive/grey Swoosh logos, brown soft textures at the heel, and a logo of two features at the heel. Pink tabs at the heel match the mid-foot plate on the outsole, while a brown sole achieves a subtle luxury to a silhouette meant for wear and tear.

The insoles also tell a personal story as a series of white dots appear to make an obscure image. The Nike SB logo at the heel is also made up of these artful featherpoints. A full backstory and detailed breakdown will likely be revealed soon by Nike SB.

Currently, a release date is expected on August 25th, 2023 at skateshops with an MSRP of $130; a SNKRS release is expected on August 29th.

The 2023 ‘Halloween’ Nike Dunk Low is Spooky

https://sneakernews.com/2023/08/04/nike-dunk-low-gs-halloween-fq8354-491/

image.png.3703a473967a3186ac7f0fceb34f47dc.png

Themed sneaker releases have come to be an expected part of Halloween, and Nike just released official imagery of the next themed venture – a fresh Dunk Low in Grade School sizing. This news comes after leaks emerged for the 2023 ‘Halloween’ Air Force 1, ‘Candy Corn’ SB Dunk High and Ja Morant 1, all three kitted out in colourways that are perfect for the spooky season.

For their latest Dunk Low, Nike dressed the upper in a Diffused Blue/Blue Tint/Luminous Green combination, hosting subtle gradient details on the leather panels, alongside contrast stitching to the Swoosh and midsole. Eye-catching green laces, mesh liner, special heel motif and cracked midfoot details add to the Halloween vibes. Keeping the kids safe on the night of October 31 is reflective detailing to the Swoosh, while the underside of the tongue reads ‘I Am Fearless’.

Nike Dunk Low “Hangul Day”

https://eukicks.com/nike-dunk-low-hangul-day-fq8147-104/

Nike Dunk Low "Hangul Day" fq8147-104

As Nike has expanded its global presence, its celebration of holidays and events has grown as well. Beginning in 2021 on the Air Force 1 Low, Nike has assembled Hangul Day-themed sneakers. Landing on October 9, it is recognized as Korean Alphabet Day and is a commemorative holiday that notes the invention of Hangul — the Korean alphabet. Last year, Nike utilized the Air Max 1 and 97 with covered-up Air units and now it looks to the Dunk Low to celebrate the day.

With the Dunk Low, the “Hangul Day” theme sees muted tones scattered across the upper — combining gray, white and off-white. Its material composition begins with rough suede at the base and leather detailing at the overlays. At the heel, special detailing has been prepared with Hangul text joined by unique Nike branding on each shoe, matching the sockliner and the charm accessory included with each pair. Wrapping things up, a gum sole serves as the final touch.

At the time of writing, no news regarding release details for the Nike Dunk Low “Hangul Day” has been disclosed by the Swoosh. It’s likely to debut in Asia via Nike and select retailers in October with a global launch to take place shortly thereafter.

First Look: Fear of God x adidas Sneaker

https://eukicks.com/first-look-fear-of-god-x-adidas-sneaker/

Fear of God x adidas Sneaker

We’re nearing three years since Fear of God and adidas announced their long-term partnership. Despite this, the two have yet to officially launch their first fully-fledged project. In 2022, a small INNERSECT exhibition in Shanghai showcased the duo’s new trademark and earlier this year, a bevy of leaked footwear was joined by a brief inclusion in Fear of God’s debut runway show for Fall/Winter 2023.

Now, yet another leak has informed sneakerheads of what to expect from the partnership. The shoe itself seemingly borrows from the Retropy E5 with its midsole indents and overlays as gray graces the upper and white coats the sole unit. Looking closer at its construction, suede and ripstop go back and forth as the traditional Three Stripes make a return at the midfoot. Final details are offered by the heel’s “FEAR OF GOD” stamp that has been spotted throughout the duo’s footwear thus far and a slight ripple sole.

At the time of writing, neither Fear of God nor adidas have confirmed any details surrounding the debut of their first collection and the release of this particular silhouette. Stay tuned for updates as we expect the duo’s first delivery to touch down on shelves by the end of the year.

Fear of God x adidas Rivalry Low 86 / First Look

https://eukicks.com/fear-of-god-x-adidas-rivalry-low-86-first-look/

Fear of God x adidas Rivalry Low 86 / First Look

Sneakerheads have waited over three years for Fear of God and adidas to release their first collaborative sneaker. Now, it’s finally looking like the duo is ready to drop this year with a myriad of leaked pairs accompanied by Fear of God’s debut runway show that included highlights from the two. Just days ago, another pair — one seemingly inspired by the Retropy E5 — popped up and today sees yet another silhouette appear.

Reworking the adidas Rivalry Low 86, Fear of God has modernized the silhouette with a platform sole unit, clean linework and a premium suede finish. Its monochromatic upper arrives in gray with elements such as the Three Stripes returning to the midfoot. Looking closer at the elevated sole, its smooth off-white finish hosts plain adidas branding at the lateral heel and the “FEAR OF GOD” stamp at the heel, resting inches below the gray Trefoil logo at the upper.

We’re still awaiting word of Fear of God’s debut adidas collection, including this take on the Rivalry Low 86. Stay tuned for updates as the initial installment from the duo should touch down on shelves by the end of the year for Fall/Winter 2023.
