Last figures I saw from 201-16 says hes on £75k a week which is more than Dave/Bane/ppppMatic (till Conte offers him new contract coming up most likely)

Happys only on £40k and Remys om £85 plus Pedros on £100k!

But we are pricing RLC out of a move with his new £60k rise. Nobodys going to want to loan him unless we pay most of his wages.

The reason for that is we're still paying the amortized fees of those players which are added to the FFP budget. But with Mikel the initial fee has all but been fully paid. So on the FFP budget he costs less than any other first team player bar Chalobah.

That is also why older players usually have higher wages despite their abilities declining: because their market vales and fees decline.

He's officially changed his name to Mikel John Obi so should the thread title be altered or nah?

Come on Mikel, keep on pushing til Gold. That would be amazing considering how they struggled even getting to the tournament.

Surprised no one mentioned this, but he won a Bronze medal with Nigeria in Rio.

Great achievement considering they nearly didn't make it there.

Plus, he played a huge part in that bronze medal game. Two direct assists and a goal after his shot. Well done!

Only watched the highlights for the bronze medal game, but he's always so influential for Nigeria. I think he feels like he has more responsibility when playing for Nigeria as everyone looks to him due to his experience at the highest level.
