LDN Blue 7,903
I saw that - just ridiculous, but hey what if we could get him a few months later for half the price . But the Tevez issue complicates things, Pato is the Milan sweetheart and most fans are strongly against him leaving. He loves Milan and they love him, but their seem to be accruing frailties in his 'unsellability' which we must really pounce on. They need the money. He also 'loves' Silvio Berlusconi daughter. I should not think he'd be so hesitant to let his daughter move to France

Melanicus 5,208
Gonzalo Higuain has been offered to Chelsea and discussions have taken place. Real Madrid are requesting 48M euro and a commitment from Chelsea not to bid on Cavani (something that won't be acceptable). There is no timescale on any deal. Cheslea balked at the the price and have not finally decided if they will make an offer or not at this time. Also Chelsea are very keen on Milos Krasic but only on loan, so that Sturridge will move to center.Okay, now I'm confused. If we look, like Sh0n3x said we already have "Higuain type of player" in Torres and I really don't want another flop. If we look at Cavani, he's "new Falcao" for me. And I think he would suit better in our team, mostly, because he can player on wings too.If we sign Higuain:Mata/Krasić-Higuain/Sturridge-Sturridge/Krasić-------------------------Mata---------------------------We can rotate a lot and I like it (I don't see Torres anywhere near starting eleven). If we sign Cavani:Mata/Krasić-Sturridge/Torres/Cavani-Sturridge/Cavani/Krasić
Henrique 9,133
Its better wait until the end of the season and buy Cavani. This season is over in PL for us. Arsenal and Liverpool are also as inconsistant as us, so we can get at least a 4th position. Higuain wont play CL a a anyway.

One South American already regretted it As for Higuain, I think he is a great striker and if we could bring him for 20 and something millions then it would be a good piece of business but I believe it would be better to wait 'till summer to see what happens with Torres and Drogba and then make decisions. Prices are inflated in January anyway.Well thats what you get for being a money grabbing wee tit Pastore

Kojo 4,676
Tbh buying Higuain would be a terrible idea, about a month ago I would of said different. The thing is Higuain is a goal scorer/poacher, we can't assist players like him, none if our players can cross, and we never put in through balls or long balls. We need a playmaker and a winger. I'm telling you if RVP came into our team, he wouldn't score, every striker we get will get a pass with there back towards goal, and drogba has always been able to work like that, that's why we need him.If Sturridge played centre forward all of his games he wouldn't have 9 goals, he would have about 3 or 4, and that would be off huge determination and fight. francozola 2,040
Agree, a playmaker is a higher priority. Our strikers aren't getting enough chances to put away. We're the opposite of Liverpool. They're creating loads of chances every match but don't have the players to finish.

BlueLion. 21,491
I rate him, but he disappears way too much in big games. That makes him better than Torres, who disappears way too much against the likes of Fulham.

CHOULO19 24,332
Higuain > Cavani.Totally different types of strikers. Higuain is arguably the best finisher in the world. Cavani relies greatly on his physical assets. I'd personally prefer Cavani for our style of play.
