Mildly dissapointed with Rlc, Barkley, Christensen performance.

Dont realy care for regular starters like Willian in such game because they are already established.

But for up and coming players, even and especialy games like these are where you prove yourself and show growth to manager. Always 110% even in a shit game like tonight.

But RLC, Barkley, Christensen didnt try hard enough. How are you supposed to get in first 11 then? How can you even claim for more play time if in the given playtime, you dont put 110% effort?

I am not a RLC fangirl, but I absolutely do not fault his effort, he truly looked like he was busting his arse. Barkley, now THERE is your target, he looked for shit IMHO, which is massively disappointing. He should have OWNED this game.

Strange game, I cannot name a single player who played great, nor truly shit. Barkley just was a disappointment, but it is not like he fucked up a lot.

Emerson looked really good. I like him a lot. He seems repaired from his knee injury. Sarri will still play Alonso as the main man every game though. I am resigned to this.

Chelsea just did n't care.
It was a question of Vidi being able to produce just a touch of football, which they did.

On the plus side the two free kicks - especially from Willian who could n't find the net from set pieces since Mourinho's time.
Olympiakos ko'd AC Milan and could be Chelsea's next opponent.

I think the strong ones are Chelsea - Napoli - Inter and no one else.

Chelsea say fans who sang an anti-Semitic chant in the Europa League game with MOL Vidi have "shamed the club".

A vocal minority chanted offensive songs about Tottenham fans early in Thursday's 2-2 draw in Hungary.

That came days after four fans were suspended for allegedly racially abusing Raheem Sterling.

"Anti-Semitism and any kind of racial or religious hatred is abhorrent to this club and the overwhelming majority of our fans," a spokesman said.

"It has no place at Chelsea or in any of our communities."

Uefa said it will await the referee's report before deciding on whether any action will be taken.

Willian and Olivier Giroud scored free-kicks for Chelsea, who had already qualified for the knockout stages, in their draw in Budapest.

"Any individuals that can't summon the brainpower to comprehend this simple message and are found to have shamed the club by used using anti-Semitic or racist words or actions will face the strongest possible action from the club," the spokesman added.

On Wednesday, manager Maurizio Sarri condemned "discrimination in any form" following the alleged racist abuse of Manchester City's Sterling.

Chelsea and the Metropolitan Police are investigating the allegations which occurred during the Blues' 2-0 win on Sunday.

What is the matter with these brain dead morons? This crap has been going on for decades. Do these prats really think players are motivated to play for people behaving like this? Do they expect our squad to be proud of them?

You can't shoot these idiots, so absolute zero tolerance must be applied. Ban any offender for life and let's get MPs to play their part too. Let's create a law under which anyone convicted of racist behaviour in controlled spaces gets added to a register akin to the one for sex offenders. Make this nonsense behaviour start to affect their job prospects. Either that or require season tickets holders and members to pass an IQ test. That'd get rid of most of 'em.

I say in controlled spaces because freedom of speech must be maintained, as long as it is within the law. We just have to accept that there must be a place where idiots are free to say idiotic things. If you enter a football stadium however, you agree to be bound by its regulations. Let's start giving those regulations some teeth.

Just completely fed up with these people.

They are probably all encouraged by the presence of a far right gov't in Hungary.

These assholes need to be demoralized everywhere. Meanwhile, I don't think that we've seen the end of hypercapitalism/neoliberal economics, so we are sure to see more right wing human nonsense as the post-industrial white grievance industry gains more interest from the working class.

What do you think should be done to stop this? What do you even mean by that terms? I am from post-socialistic Croatia, and BELIEVE ME, you don't want to live like we do, or like we did. We have taxes, we have all the taxes of the world. And we are poor as fuck.
EDIT: We can bring this to some other sub-forum, not to be off-topic. But I am really curious on this subject.

1st thing I did at 4am when I put PC on was download a torrent for the game as it was the 1st bit of Chelsea I've seen for ages.

I thought when I saw the line up that it looked good and was quite excited to see CHO,Ampadu,Emerson get chances to start and really liked the Cescy,Barkles,RLC MF 3. But how disappointing. I was expecting them to be buzzing their tits off wanting to show how good they were and up for it. But there didn't seem to have 1 drop of urgency or real commitment between them. And I know its probably no big deal but I never saw 1 lad smiling. Whats going on?

After reading some of the match threads its seeming that none of the lads are holding any of their form and from what I've read the lads dont seem to be happy. I know them keeping their form is nothing new. Edens been like that from day 1. But you would think being in the top 4 would be enough to give the lads an extra gear when it was needed. But it reminds me of when we was playing bad and still winning.

I read that Sarri doesn't think that buying players is the answer, and of course its not the full answer, but blimey we need to make some changes.

I do think Sarri is the right man for the job tho and we need to have faith in his system. I reckon with some fresh blood in the right places and the lads having a word with themselves we could have the makings of a good thing.

EDIT ::

Can't comment on the Shitty game as the threads closed but just been watching that. What a difference from after the wee baldy man scored eh!

I looked to me that in the 2nd half the team got much tighter and they seemed to park themselves in the middle 1/3 of the pitch. Kante was closer to Jorgi boy so had more coverage plus could still press high up/ Great idea..

The lads showed they had some salt and stayed with it till the end.

I know Sarri seems a gentle old chap but I do hope I'm wrong and he gave them a bollocking at half time. Whatever it was his tinkering worked. GREAT WIN!

Chelsea Women's captain Karen Carney.

By the way, the women's team are offering people a chance to get down to Kingston and check out a game when they get back to action in the new year. Tickets for their home game against Everton on Sunday January 6th are free. Just go to the club website and request them. (The men's team are playing Forrest on the Saturday.)

What a strike! Superb shot.

I saw in the match thread she was one of the pundits on the game yeah. And someone didn't know who she was.

Womens footballs come a long way but has a lot further to go. I reckon I would only be able to recognize her and a couple of the blond girls but have difficulty remembering their names till I read them

I do know they aren't doing as good as last season and the gooner women I am reliably informed are top with a +35 gd and Shitty are 2nd. Chels Women are 3rd

We've only shipped five league goals all season. Unfortunately they all came in the one game against Arsenal! Apart from that it's been ten clean sheets, but our problem has been at the other end. We've dropped eight points in four scoreless draws and those have left us five points behind Arsenal and City, though The Gunners have a game in hand. Boss Emma Hayes conceded the title a few weeks ago but I think there was some psychology at play there.

In recent weeks we've recovered our form, winning nine out of ten games while scoring thirty-three goals and conceding none. In that time we've climbed to third in the table, reached the quarter finals of the League Cup, and more importantly the quarters of The Champions League where we face PSG in March. Before then we begin the defence of The FA Cup we won in front of 45,000 at Wembley in May and have important league fixtures with Arsenal and City. Realistically we probably need to beat both of our title rivals to maintain any serious hope of defending our title or even achieving a top two finish to secure a place in next season's Champions League.

We've made life hard for ourselves but there's still a lot for the women to play for. If anyone fancies getting down to Kingsmeadow to support our girls you'll be very welcome and will perhaps be surprised by the quality of the football. A reminder that tickets for the next home against Everton on Jan 6th are free but you'll need to go to the website and order them. Get down there if you can.

Something to warm the heart on a cold winter's night: highlights of Chelsea beating Spurs 5-0 on Wednesday.
