I just ran through the list of all wingers remotely in his class, and unless we drop £250m plus for Mbappe or £200m plus for Neymar (please NO), neither of which will happen, there isnt any out there. We will be damn lucky to get £100 to 125m for a 17 months and out of contract (10 months once we are in mid window in the summer) Eden.

Asensio is the only other one who is above the pack and below my elite true replacement level. Real MAY offer a straight swap. Zero chance they offer Asensio and another player (Kovacic). They will just wait and take him on a free or rape us 12 months from now and offer us some crazy low 60m or so offer when they really have our jacobs in the old holiday nutcracker.

I wanted Asensio last year as well as this but I would take Isco over him right now Mrs.

His goals/asists are higher than his with a lot less minutes.

All he needs is the right envirement and FEEL love,importance,be wanted! He would work out well here IMHO of course.

Isco for me would be a great signing but I have a feeling he is sort of a luxury player. Sometimes he looks amazing, under Zizou at the tip of a diamond particularly but hes been playing very very mixed since the summer. He has everything in his make up to be a truly world class 10 but I am not entirely sure in a team less gifted thans Reals he could be as decisive, in that MF diamond he had complete freedom.

I would take Tonali over Paredes on sheer potential, Sarri would work magic on him.

The Barella miss is really going to sting this summer if Kovacic goes back and we dont sign an AMF that also can meet Sarri's demands that they play hardnose defence as well. Super limited supply of those (as I have labouriously listed in the past).

I am close to saying screw it and just go for all out attacker in MF. We have Kante ffs as all-round action man, and Jorginho is just going to have to man u and play better defence. If not, we really may need to start to rethink him overall. We simply need more goals out of the MF if we are going to truly do this. We cannot play 3 DMF's. That sounds like Tony Pulis style (he would also play 4 or 5 CB's too, lolol)

Barella was never (at least in my mind) meant to be a DH DMF in Sarriball. Sure, he could play that position (he is the rare type tt can play anywhere in MF), but it would be wasting his talents I think.

Been reading up and watching vids of him for a bit and the kid seems the dogs dangleys! Seems like he runs the MF

Inter seems to have or going to drop out leaving only Juve left - tho obviously in a strong position anyway.

But for €30m he would be a good buy if we at least TRIED for him.
