They want to get Fernandinho replacement (Neves is by far their preferred option, with Weigl 2nd or maybe use Frenkie de Jong there, although he is more wanted by them as a CMF, with Rabiot also in the mix there). Backup/rotation LB (Junior Firpo is their number one target) and add another truly WC CB (Marquinhos or Matthijs de Ligt or José Giménez or Dayot Upamecano or Benjamin Pavard) Džeko would not get a whiff of playing time, he doesn't fit Pep system at all.
