Ryan Fong 2,776
It depends on an Android phone. Android is a mass product sold to many manufacturers and then reworked by them and the operators to make the operating system have their own touch (thus often screwing the system up and slowing it down). The only phones you get with pure Android is from the Nexus series. Even though Android isn't as snappy as iOS (although JB comes close), you have to admit it's much more innovative and interesting. As iOS has since build 1 remained pretty much the same, Google has tried to move the boundaries and explore more options in the mobile OS industry. Also, talking about Android phones all looking like toys or cheap or whatnot, there are exceptions. For example while Samsung uses pretty cheap plastic, always has, then HTC emphasizes more on build quality. One thing you have to remember though, Apple aims to make only high-end quality products. Android is a mass product meant for everybody, that means you have very cheap phones running it, and you have very expensive high-end phones running it and everything that is in between. When you say iPhones are better than Androids, you need to be specific, because there are many models running it, while there is only one iPhone model. It's also quite hard to pinpoint the best Android phone because of its big selection, while it's easy with iPhones - the latest is the best.Anyway, to avoid another tiresome pointless Android vs. Apple argument, I won't comment on this subject anymore. This really is a fight a la Lampard vs. Gerrard, it never ends and there are no winners. There won't be a fight mate, I completely agree with what you just posted, every single word.I'm not an iPhone fanboy nor Andriod's, no doubt Andriod allows you to be creative and innovative which is all good, but speaking for myself, as an end-user, I just tend to enjoy the iPhone more due to its simplicity and stability. Each to their own I guess.

Or crashing? It's all good for end consumer though as should drive prices down and features up
BlueLyon 9,359
Okay, a bit strange system for me. By the way, as I understand, the 12 ¤/month or 20 ¤/month contracts are just normal contracts you would get even if you didn't buy a phone? In this case the phone doesn't cost 800 ¤, it actually costs only 310, because rest of the money is meant only for operator services. That's cheap as shit. Or will part of that monthly payment go to buying out the phone? You finaly understand what I meant about 800eur Yes, the phone is 310, nothing more. 12/20 eur is only operator service. The wholetogether comes to 700-800eur in two years. As for Apple-Android, I must say Im splited here. Both have advantages and disadvantages. Apple is more complete, cuz it is made for Iphone only. Android has 100000xxxx phones to supply and that is completely different. Its like iOs vs Windows. While iOS is more complete, Windows has larger base of users and more customization. My friends most have android and that is advantage if you have android too, as you can connect games or some apps. Apple runs smoothly (in overall experience), its more simple, but is very limited. I have jailbroken Ipod too and it has tons of more stuff to do, customization as well free stuff (that is paid in non jailbroken phone). But apple has huge negative point in their price and connectivity to other phones. The Iphone 5 (which is just cover of 4s and 4s is cover of 4) has price equal to GSIII but is by far less powerful phone. When Iphone 3 and 4 came, they were most complete phones out there (screen, processor and fact that iOS back then was superior to Android), the price was fair. However, ever since Iphone4, the progress stalled at Apple. Their phones seem to offer much more than previous version, but hardware is just bit improved. While Samsung makes leapfrog jump forward with their new Galaxy S every year. Apple is troling people with new phones recently (sorry apple users), that doesnt mean that phones are bad (they are great), but not for that price. Anyway, I also heard that GS2 has much better camera than GS3. Any reason why?
Rmpr 8,977
You can, but that money goes quickly away for very small amount of called minutes, sms,...At least here. With contract, you usualy have unlimited amount of minutes, or at least big amount of it, so you have more than enough for month. Also, you get 1GB of web data transfer, which you practicaly need if you have such phone.Same here brother! But at least we have unlocked phones without the need for a 24 month contract or monthly payment. Although they are pretty expensive...

Seems like very sturdy phones, equal to Apple or even better in terms of surviving drops. But with every high end phone, its expected you will protect it with case or something. Yes estethics go down, but the phone is protected which is more important.

The whole together comes to 700-800eur in two years. That's great then, 310 for a brand new GS II is an immense deal. I did find 800€ rather odd, good to know that most of it is comprised by operator charges not the phone itself.Wait... you said you would get L9 for free. How does that work? Although they are pretty expensive...We too have unlocked phones, but they are damn expensive. GS2 is around 450-550, while Nexus is (in Germany its 300), here willprobably be more than 500eur. Everything elseis same. However my friend bought Iphone from Germany, and after couple months it locked (the phone wont connect Sim card) and he cant use him, unless he sends it back to Germany. Thats why I dont want to buy from abroad. Overall, it comes cheaper if you buy phone ondirect contract here, but its still not cheap and you need to find best option, that suits youmost. How does that work?Well we have christmas special package; you get phone for free (L9) and then paying 25eur (instead of 12/20) each month for two years. For service, not to out pay the phone. Combined 600eur.

For service, not to out pay the phone. Combined 600eur.Aah, we have similar special packages here too. For example if you want to buy a phone "for cheap" with a contract, you get to choose only between packages which are more expensive than normal ones. Essentially they do charge you money for the phone, except that this charging is masked behind the monthly service bills. For example your package costs 25€ per month, which means you pay roughly 5-13€ more than you normally would (let's say 5, because the 12eur package sucks as you say). That means the phone's ultimate price will be 120. That is cheap! If you actually fill your minimal bill every single month for 2 years for services, then you essentially get the phone for free Both deals are good whatever way you look at it. Fulham Broadway 17,314
I have a Galaxy something or other and after listening to the salesperson crap on for 20 minutes I found out one of the features allows you to make callsThe main problem appears to be people getting a much larger contract allowance than they actually need for fear of going over their monthly allowance without once considering the option of getting a cheaper contract and shutting their fucking faces. A simple way of saving money is every time you’re about to send a text with ‘lol’ in it, just punch yourself in the teeth and put 10p into a jar. Theproblem comes to calling, when you go way beyond the numbers in contract. Instead of 12, I spend 30eur two months ago because of calling people. Every minute over the contract is priced at 10cents per minute and now Im more careful about calling and stuff.
BlueLyon 9,359
Bought Samsung S2 today, first impression wasnt that great (bit plastic), but more time Im on it, the more I like it. Great phone, Camera and Web browser are top stuff. However, there is something I dont like entirely about ICS (nothing with phone, but Andrid OS), I realy hope S2 will get Jelly Bean.Anyway, very happy with the buy
manpe 10,861
I realy hope S2 will get Jelly Bean. It was supposed to get it in November, but as always, Samsung failed to deliver. It's coming though, there is already an experimental leaked version of JB which shows they are working on it.

Before entering EU, Slovenia was high flying, our growth went skyhigh, ever since we entered EU, money has gone to corrput people and there was no development.
