And he's eligible to play for Nigeria.

Perhaps one of his ancestors was born there.http://www.evertonfc.com/academy/ross-barkleyThough he seems to be a Scouser to the bone, which is a crying shame. Everton seems to have a great academy lately.
manpe 10,861
Perhaps one of his parents is nigerian and the other is white... 50/50 and he came out white who cares
Kojo 4,676
Don't think there's any white people in Nigeria at all, if i was a football player i would be eligible to play for South Africa, but that's because there's a lot of afrikaans, white people in south africa. Don't think there's any in Nigeria though, but yeah probably has a black dad/mam and the other parent is white and he came out white. Shak 22
Seems like a decent player...but I don't think we need him at Chelsea FC.Gotta feel bad for Moyes. He generally loses his 'better' players (eg. Lescott; Pienaar; Arteta..and would have lost Rodwell if he didn't get injured) but he's not able to replace them due to a lack of transfer funds. Liverpool with their deep coffers can barley beat Everton, a team so broke it should have liquidated by now.
Madmax 9,219
We can't even give a game to Josh, who's to say we sign this chap for 20 odd million and he ends up somewhere like Vitesse or Hamburg a couple of years down the line. incometax 116
Its not that I wouldn't want ross barkley, he looks a wayne rooney midfield version and having him piazon and josh makes the future of our midfield bright. But ross barkley compared to lucas moura or mario gotze? Not a chance. Imo lucas moura and gotze could be starts of barcelona or madrid if they pleased and it is this type of player we should be pursuing if want to ensure our ambitions as a top club. This does not mean that ross barkley has no chance of developing or turning out to be better than them? no but gotze and moura are arleady worldclass and as young as barkley, and we need a worldclass mid right now imo. Will buying another young mid kill josh? Quite the oppossite, it will just be finding the second piece to our future version of xavi instestia , and we will have great depth if piazon develops into a good player as well. Rameries still young and Romeu is young, and when competing in all 3 compettions it is impornant to have depth like this, not matter what competition a worldclass formation. But for that one special game in cl final who will start out of all this talent? Gives us such a tactical advantage to throw different formations at a team and the pleasure of picking whoever is most in form.

incometax 116
Don't think Barkley is worth 20 million.I'd prefer Chelsea to buy De Bruyne (wants to play for CFC) & Lucas Moura (awesome talent, he'll probably be signed up by Madrid/Barca/United sometime soon)United do not have a good chance @ moura, they would be hellbent to pay his estimated fee of 40mil and Manchester dosent have a great reputation amongst south american players and uniteds mananger dosent speak porteguese. I also think their squad lacks a player like ganso more than moura. Assuming moura is sold within 2 years i think madrid does not have place for him. They have caneles in their ranks and have sahin ozil arleady for attacking mids, and di mairia+hazard or neymar or even both as wingers. Barcelona may have interest in moura but they have thiago and sanchez can play in mid as well, among that chrisiten erikson has been very keen on joining them, its also pastores dream to play for barca. From what I have heard PSG have had the most interest in moura which means he wont go for cheap but im confident this wont end like the pastore chase did(if there ever was one in the first place). Hd123 5
http://www.dailymail...st-Everton.htmlWhere do they get these prices from? How is some reserve team player who played three first team matches and a) gave away penalty and b. did not do anything of significance, worth 20m?
