Basically trying to rationalise that the club surely isn’t that crazy to buy Carroll but then again, we have done a madness before.

Yup its sometimes foregoing Waitrose eggs for value ones etc. I actually think Carroll coming on to bruise a defence in the 75th minute isn't such a bad thing-   if the board seem insistent on penny pinching.
