What is the point in quoting something from a year ago? Shall I go through your messages and find when you were wrong?

It was tounge in cheek. I clicked on the first page and saw that WE were all very excited to see Morata come here. Now WE mostly feel different about him being at the club. There was absolutely zero harm intended with that post. If I knew that you would reapond like that, i wouldn't have bothered.

Morata doesn't have an all round game? Hes fast, good technically, can play one or two touch, intelligent mover without the ball, good in the air... just because he was poor in the second half of the season after being arguably our most important player in the first half of the season means nothing. Fatigue, injury, loss of form, no winter break, team as a whole struggled... all different variables, fair enough maybe none of them are applicable or maybe some are but he definitely deserves another season because he showed that he has definitely got something in him as a player (unlike Bakayoko who only looked like a reasonable player in 2 games the whole season).

We are linked with Higuain because regardless we need better options up front... he is a known goalscorer and also a guy who worked with Sarri as well as the fact Juve need to sell to comply with FFP. Rugani isn't necessarily better than any CBs we've got but hes coming because hes worked with Sarri and fits the mould of what he wants in a CB. Higuain yes hes better than Morata but him coming doesn't necessarily mean its as simple as Sarri has weighed up Morata in 4 or 5 training sessions and doesn't want him. Regardless, Batshuayi and Giroud's futures are also up for debate. Batshuayi for me would be the first guy to go because he is such a limited footballer in terms of his actual all round game.

In the past people also slated Costa (who for me, was the biggest loss from our team last year, not just in terms of goals but everything else he offers) so it just really goes to show that none of us are actually really happy when we have any decent strikers....

And for me personally, it is even stupider to consider selling him when we finally have an extremely attack minded manager, who's Napoli side created the most chances in Serie A over a 3 year period, had the most shots on target and most goals scored. He will get plenty of chances in this team and his skill set is much better than Higuains in my eyes so he will offer more in terms of the build up as well as probably getting 15+ goals.

Also keep reading he wants to leave apparently? Where? Is there a source? Or is it just twitter/facebook shit?

Call me a numpty bint, but I still rate Morata, would love to see him get a full season under Sarri. The only striker I REALLY want out there (who is remotely available) is Icardi. IF Hazard goes (for say £180-190m) then we are crazy to not swoop for Icardi and Leon Bailey with the money, Plus toss in a player (Fabregas or Drinkwater if we sign Golovin  OR Bakayoko, as Inter have no real fulltime DMF atm OR even Moses as they have only one RB on the squad, D'Ambrosio, who soon turns 30) to Inter as makeweight. I am not a Higuain fan, I think he is on downward slope of career and we dont offer multi-year contracts to players over 30, and he is 31 in a little over 4 months.

Seems we are on same page as touching the issue of striker as the only striker i want here over Morata is icardi....Morata is not even much of our problem....lack of quality and goal scoring right winger is very important no matter the amount of goals the striker scores...

Well, I would deffo take Kane or Griezmann over Morata too, BUT I did say remotely available, lol. Mbappe isn't a pure 9, so I don't include him (he is the number one footballer in world for my money, atm, but I am sure others will disagree).

I've been arguing that Morata could come good, That first game was about as poor as possible for him. he was on the ground complaining and had a seemingly negative energy the entire match. Just one match but I am much closer now than I was 4 hours ago to thinking he needs to go at any and all costs. What a disappointment.

Thought he would prove more effective in this style but on today's evidence not looking promising.

Not everyone is sold on Higuain, I think mostly because of his age, but he has proven pedigree scoring goals and is already used to the Sarri system. We only need to see today how good Jorginho looked with someone used to this way. I think Higuain would be a success here for a couple of seasons which is just what we need to get back challenging again.

There are few transfer talks about Morata. Does it mean is in the plan of Sarri? What do think you guys who are in the know? Thanks!

Def the wrong place for peeps in the know my friend.

We are all as daft, baffled and clueless as each other/

The craic is tho is to try and suss out just what the fuck is going on before some plank on Twitter or a clickbait site tells us!

You are where I am at. I was genuinely excited that maybe he would at least try and fit into a Sarri type style of play

BUT

his performance yesterday was absolutely SHAMBOLIC

his attitude, everything is SHIT

My thoughts too. I was really open minded about him possibly working under Sarri but all the old doubts resurfaced/

I'm truly sorry for the old boy but more sorry for us if we have to keep osing him/

Who knows. He might just be warming up!ef7abae211409c118a93e525e5068223.gif

Let's not forget this was Perth Glory... The guy still hasn't learned to stay on his feet and how to utilize his size! All he has to do in this system is play an effective deep lying forward role and he should get tap ins from cutback passes.

He did have a couple nice link ups with Barkley and Pedro but overall he still misses a ton of chances and gets bossed.

If we can find a replacement I'd be all for it but if that replacement is Higuain then it doesn't seem like smart business.

Oh, FFS!, £70m valuation for Morata??? The same as with Willian to Barca, and the exact same shit is going to happen.

We are going to get fucking stuck with BOTH, when we could have had £120m fucking pounds and been done with the trouble.  GRRRRRRRR
