Boulahrouz & Djilobodji are two that come to mind instead.

Papy played like 1 game for us  Shouldn't even be in discussion, no sample size. He was just a ridiculous signing and that's it.

That says enough. He was out of his depth

He earned his chances solely on his past. It didn't go to plan for sure and waste of money looking at it now. However, most will remember him for his goal that paved the way for us to win our CL title in the immediate future.

Morata could certainly trump him, if we are discussing the same things a year from now.

I know Torres scoring that goal at the Camp Nou was a great moment but I find it ridiculous that the goal has been talked a lot more than Drogba's equalizer in the final or even the fact that Torres won the corner that led to the equalizer!

You still dump them all together...

They all left Monaco last season no? The overall point is that none have had as big as an impact as they were expected to. Obviously Bakayoko has been the most underwhelming by far.

It was because of where it was scored and the predicament we were in.

Yes but that goal didn't change the result, did it? It merely confirmed our spot in the final.

Not enough is said about Cole's clearance/pass which freed Torres for that run. It was great from start to finish (except Torres losing the ball in first place which is why Cole had to clear it, but maybe it was for the best in the end).

That's the point. We could have easily lost 3-1 in the dying seconds had he not been alert, as we were penned in for most of the game.

Might have, might have not. Had Drogba not scored the equalizer, we wouldn't have been to gloat about being European champions.

Ah, it wasn’t even a YouTube thing. Bakayoko looks 1/10th the player he was at Monaco unfortunately. Tbh, most of the Monaco players have been pretty underwhelming in a sense (Mbappe, Bakayoko, Bernardo).

TBH, I think Bernardo and Mbappe have done well, not brilliant. Mbappe is just 3 short of 20 goals for the season which he should do. Bernardo, was never going to walk into City's team because of the amount of attacking quality, but when he has played, he has been useful. Has contributed with goals and assists and is a decent alternative to Sane/Sterling. None of them have been excellent but would not say underwhelming. Mbappe did make a slow start but in recent months has looked really sharp again.

I think it has been talked a lot mainly because it was a nice surprise. Drogba scoring in a final, that's what he does, but Torres changing the score in such an important game, I was like this

That's a different game altogether

Yes but it was the moment that led us to winning the whole thing. The Torres goal might not have changed the result at all!

That's just a maybe. However if Ramires didn't score or Bossy didn't make that interception we would almost have certainly have been toast.

I suppose there's a lot of its, maybes and buts here but I'm just annoyed that the Torres goal is talked about a lot more than others, other game changing, tournament decisive moments!

All ifs and buts. We'll never know what might have been.

All assumptions. The original point was about your opinion on Torres being the worst player in our history and I disagreed.

Cole or Ramires' contribution can be discussed elsewhere.

According to Sport 1, Chelsea have told BVB that Bakayoko would not be sold for any less than £53m, a fee which the German club are unlikely and unwilling to pay for one player.
