Elliott 7
For a very good offer it might be worth it, but it would have to be a LOT of money. Otherwise, hell no.
diskoviolente 425
He might over the peak of his abillity, but IT IS IMPORTANT to have someone like him in the squad. A player on which younger players can look up to and so on. First selling Bridge to Citeh than Carlo to Spurs and now JT to City as an option of earning some money ? HELLO ??? Could you imagine Manu selling Giggs to Sunderland ?

Elliott 7
I can't imagine Giggs agreeing to it though.
diskoviolente 425
There is no way that players like Neville, Giggs or someone like that would be sold It is right that one player is not more important that the whole club, but there are several keyplayers as well in Chelsea. So, it is wrong wrong wrong even thinking about selling players like JT oder Lamps, because of fixing the lack of money...
Laylabelle 9,535
I doubt he'd even agree considering ages ago he was saying how he wanted a contract where at the end he became mananger/took on a mangerial role when retired
Aesthetic Relic 301
I hate taking Manu as an example, but didnt they sell Beckham, Stam, Ince, Hughes, Keane to name but a few when they were reguarded as legends at that club while they were still playing at their peak? They've went to the dogs havent they........ I'd hate to see JT in another club shirt as much as the next person. I'm looking at this from a footballing sense and not letting sentiment get in the way. £40-£60m for a injury prone 29 year old defender is an insane amount of money. If the shoe was on the other foot and we were offering that sort of money for a player in the same situation we'd be questioning the mental state of Abramovich. As I said before, we are still a business and JT is an asset. Its that simple.
BlueLion. 21,491
In all honesty, I don't John Terry would ever leave the club anyway...

I dont either, but in a hypathetical world I wouldnt rule it out. We've been told numerous occassions we have to sell before we can buy. Gianfranco_Z 202
I can't even believe this is being talked about... JT will retire in a Chelsea shirt, a true legend. Money shouldn't come into it... Ah what has happened to everyone... mad. JT Chelsea THROUGH AND THROUGH FOREVER
Aesthetic Relic 301
I'm sorry, but theres too much of this going on........ Theres no point stomping your feet and demanding he's not going to go. Atm theres only myself, Biru and Elliot who have taken our glasses off for a second and thought rationally about what "could" happen. We've been told numerous occassions we have to sell before we can buy. Of course. If the right amount of money is offered I think we should sell. No player is bigger than the club, and they all can be replaced.
Badboy 1,526
You have to go to a big Chelsea game to find out how much he means to our support. Oh welcome back matt please stay this forum will go like stale milk.
warnie_666 1,081
Look at giggs performaning for Ma Utd at 34. And Look at JT's performances for last 2 yrs. Fergie, Sold Beckham when he was Man Utd personified. Most people around the globe started supporting Man Utd cus of Beckham. Fergie sold, Stam. Gerrard was offered to us twice by Liverpool. Arsenal sold Thierry Henry. I just hope that JT lifts his game. last 2 seasons we never had an opportunity to see a stable CB's pertnership betn Riccy and JT. And I beleive that is what affects his game.

Oh welcome back matt please stay this forum will go like stale milk. I am quite aware of what John Terry means to the supporters of Chelsea Football Club. If Manchester City came with an offer that exceeds £30 million we would be IDIOTS not to accept it.
Laylabelle 9,535
I cant see them doing offering though tbh.Right now they're pretty crap to be honest.Hughs I cant see lasting another season nor Robhio to be honest be shocked if he did stay..dont think its what he expected to be honest and Kaka was never gana happen. With them it just seems to be a case of buy anyone and see what happens and hope it works And it was rumoured they were gana offer 20m but nothing mentioned in January no approch or whatever all seems to be paper talk. We would be idoits not to take it but I doubt we would/JT would. If he said I wana leave etc then be a more hmmm it could happen but at the mo he seems happy
