The Mourinho Thread

Thanks for your greatly appreciated information, It seems that his information was true, I guess he will post it here proudly soon.

Good night.

Yeah, someone will no doubt find it for you. Put it this way I was very tempted to have a large wad at 6/4 but the skimpy odds got the better of me - I'd rather miss out on losing a few quid if it means Jose is our next manager, still a massive win if I don't bet.

Though bear in mind, we were also 1/2 to sign falcao in january at one point, and walcott as well...

That is absolutely true.

But a player is different to a manager, and in our case our board will do the maximum so José can quickly go back where he belongs, not because Roman & the directors loves him, but because we truly lack options right now and a Mourinho is not always "available" in the Manager Market. So, in other words Hutcho, he will comeback.

I hope so... It would be the best signing we would make all summer.

I think even our idiot board of directors have no choice that hiring Jousé like Portuguese call him, I don't see any other options for the summer, and since his departure i never saw that much rumours about him going back, In fact if he doesent, I would gladly kill Bruce Buck's band. I'm off, Good Night.

Tbh I never knew these odds & anyone backing at those prices really need concrete evidence or has dosh to waste! I'm not a great fan of football bets but will indulge when I see value, I've backed a team at useful odds after the group stage in the CL that are still in the competition, done them e/w so if they get to the final I will still pick up a few quid - value & I'm getting a run for my money.......

My point being, all the media hype and speculation naturally leads more people to back it, bringing the odds in... We were having "secret meetings" with Falcao as well.

If it gets confirmed it will be one of the greatest moments of the season, and would be so so GOOD... But given our history with this sort of thing and media speculation, i will try and keep my expectations down just in case (well as down as i can)...

And dortmund for me... ;)

@BlueArmy

Sorry fella, I don't know where it is, I believe someone posted a link on this thread somewhere - hopefully someone else can help?

Don't quote me on this but it was something like WHS has a mate in the the know at the club who knows someone that had contact with Roman through a meal or something & it was said Jose is returning in the conversation. I don't spend a great deal of time on here so apologies if that's incorrect but I distinctly remember WHS posting that we had Stoke in our very first game a week or so before the fixtures came out at the start of last season, so very solid information I would say.

There have been rumours floating around the club about his return because ultimately it's just like any other workplace. Some people just put 2 and 2 together because it ultimately comes down to one man - Roman.

It would appear now there is a deal in place in principle but that requires us to finish top four. Not finishing top four doesn't mean he won't come, but that it's not really been countenanced at this point.

People like BlueArmy really do need to temper their enthusiasm a little bit though for the sanity of the rest of us and to not make us look like complete mugs. It would be great if he came back (in theory) but he's by no means the only man in the world who can make us league champions next year. There's also the chance of offending the mockers gods by saying with certainty that he's coming back - he isn't. It's just looking a lot more likely than it did a couple of months ago.

Good morning, I hope everybody is fine at TC.

Before talking about José coming home at the club, I perfectly analysed the situation, and for me, because Rafael Benitez will go, I cant see any one coming not because they are bad managers, but they just dont have what is required to coach the Blues.Logically, Mourinho will come, in normal circumstances, his return is inevitable, now, I'm wating for somebody to cold my enthusiasm and give me another view of the situation, I explained yesterday my view of it, and I'm still waiting for the one who could possibly tell me that we may appoint another manager.

How about the fact that Roman and Jose have a volatile relationship that ended in divorce once before? How about those old rifts re-open?

How about Roman looks at the squad he has and the style of football he wanted and thinks that Jose isn't a good match?

How about Laudrup has a falling out with Swansea and his agent starts shopping him? He fits the bill in a number of areas. How about you realise that football and human relationships aren't always logical and any number of things can occur. The universe is a random place and putting all your hopes in one basket is a great way to end up being disappointed.

Yes Jose might come, but there's always the possibility that he doesn't and that may ultimately end up being the best thing for this club. That's the way sports and life works - sometimes fate takes you down an unexpected route that ultimately leads to success.

Oh I know that, every single line you wrote is true, but I already knew that.

"How about the fact that Roman and Jose have a volatile relationship that ended in divorce once before? How about those old rifts re-open?"

I believe he wont lie in an Interview just to satisfy CFC supporters. In that case, its all down to Roman. In another interview made by Gary Lineker after the end of the 2004/2005 season with José, José said that when he was appointed, the directors at that time feared his personality and Roman personality, José told them "What he wants is to win ? I want to win too ".Basically its is the most important thing, at the end, he came, we won.I think nine years after, Roman is wiser, José also is wiser, I'm not sitting with them everyday to know every detail about the transfer policy and shit , but as I already said, If the board trusted AVB who was a novice compared to José to manage CFC, I think the'll also trust the Master.Simple as that, they trusted Benitez more that Di Matteo so for sure, they want a manager with a big CV.

"How about you realise that football and human relationships aren't always logical"

I dont care about logic,I'm not in a position where I know the two persons so I can judge, I'm not living with Roman or Mourinho, i'm only guessing because of certain elements.

"but there's always the possibility that he doesn't"

Of course, of course, we cant deny the fact that our board can be more stupid than ever and appoint some no name, but know I prefer to think that Mourinho will come because its likely rather that thinking about him staying because of the illogical relation between our beloved owner and José.

Roman ended ALL his relationships with managers in divorce - therefore Jose is no exception (but he did last longer than the others).

How about Roman looks at the squad he has and the style of football he wanted and thinks that Jose isn't a good match?

Roberto Di Matteo played the style Roman wanted (if we're to believe the media, Roman has never said himself what he likes or dislikes) and he got sacked.

And about Laudrup: Laudrup is not an option - he's doing well now, but he has no experience (as a manager) in international football. And when you look at his managerial career...it's really not that impressive.

Mourinho is the Richard Burton of managers? :yay:

Look, all I'm saying is that when you get back with the ex sometimes it's very easy to re-hash the same arguments you used to have. Again, it comes back to the point I made previously that we're all hoping that Mourinho comes back but isn't the same guy we had in 2004. There are a lot of 'ifs' and question marks surrounding this whole episode.

I honestly don't believe the professional relationship between Mourinho and Abramovic can be compared to a lover's spat. I get what you are trying to say, but yeah...

IF Mourinho does sign for Chelsea next season, these arguments which led to his departure have to be sorted out before hand. I'm sure both men have gained experienced ( I personally believe Roman does want stability at the club - patience is his weakness!), and learned lessons. But then this is football - anything could happen! :Goober:
