Was a shame the Dom didn't give him a chance but cant see him in Blue now. Lets hope he has a good season. RLC should have followed Baba on loan to Schalke 04. He could be starting for a Champions League team with INSANE and huge fanbase (Revierderby with Borussia Dortmund is one of the most intense in world), in a great league, and with a superb developmental reputation. Domenico Tedesco is an amazing young manager. The have had huge player turnover too this year, so RLC would have had a great chance for playing time as a starter. Thilo should have been OURS!! Marina pissing around with the goddamn Italians over Rugani, who Juve were never going to sell. Not having either of those ranks for me up there (as LUIZ IS SHIT) with no Bailey or Malcom and not selling/swapping Willian for Martial (or buying him outright) Unionjack
Vesper 30,181
BABA RAHMAN TO RETURN TO CHELSEA IN JANUARY https://readchelsea.com/2018/12/31/baba-rahman-to-return-to-chelsea-in-january/ Chelsea will recall Baba Rahman from his loan spell at Schalke in January, according to reports. Sky Deutschland, as cited on Calciomercato, claim that the player will be returning to London in the new year. Rahman had remained at Schalke over the summer in a bid to beat off his latest string of injuries, but he has since found game time hard to come by this season. The Ghanian defender has yet again been troubled by injuries which have derailed his development. Rahman first moved to Germany on loan during Antonio Conte’s time in charge of the Blues and it remains to be seen if he has a long-term future at Stamford Bridge. While he is now expected to return to the club in January, it is unlikely he will break into Maurizio Sarri plans anytime soon, with another loan move away from the club the most likely outcome for the defender. snip

Unionjack 7,531
We have bought sooo many players that just haven't made the grade yet we continue to mount them up - paying their wages and just pouring money down the drain. OK we MIGHT send some out on loan but how many times? Till their contracts come up for renewal so we either re sign them or let them walk for a free. Great work from our non football minded business minded board!

Great work from our non football minded business minded board! This has been going on since 2015. Such sheer incompetence and wastefulness from the board. It only begs the question, has anyone been sacked for this? The Drinkwater deal alone is a sackable offence. mccg, Unionjack and Vesper

No doubt IF it ever came up in a conversation with Roman Mz Penny Pinscher would spin it onto whichever manager she thought of at the time. It is truly shocking the incompetence of some people connected with us. It tars all of the club with the same brush.

Yeah any other business/firm doing this would be under in no time, its only the revenue/sponsorship deals that means alot of the frivolous deals have been paved over. Yeboii 1,844
He was very promising indeed, but injuries have ruined the last years for him. Think he wouldn't look so out of place in our team at the moment.

I think the loan system has been one of the few things the board did ok at. It is a steady stream of income. Loan shit players until they maximize their value and then sell them amassing profit. Sure they fuck it up often enough and sell to late or don't prolong the contracts early enough but in principle exploiting the loan system and ambitious players as cash-cows is a brilliant concept. He actually was a mediocre player back then and we got milked because they were in a strong position and we were desperate and dumb enough not to look for better options which were available back then. Even more stupid that we bought him in the same year we let go of Filipe Luis and Ryan Bertrand, two vastly superior players. No idea why the board were so damn retarded even for their standards. bigbluewillie, OhForAGreavsie and OneMoSalah
