According to Punto Pelota, we and Madrid have a first-option to buy Falcao. We could already buy him in January. Transfer fee would be 60 m + his salary.

We could be first, second and third option to buy Falcao, it doesnt matter, he is not worth 60mi euros + 200k/week!

Is he a great player? Of course he is, but we can basically buy all we need with a little bit more than 60mi. It is stupid to spend it in one striker (specially when we have Lukaku if everything else fails) . If his price was around 40mi + 150k/week, I would be in favour. But that aint the case...

We, as a club, dont need to do these crazy transfers anymore, we saw how Sheva and Torres turned out.

deal done (even if not confirmed):

falcao is sold for 45 m euros (15 m below his release clause). he will get 14 m per year. also there is a clause in his contract, that he can leave next summer for a certain fee

>Chelsea fans bitching about people joining teams for money.

My sides are in orbit.

If it was really for 45m Chelsea has egg all over it's face for not making a offer for him.

Or maybe we did and were not willing to offer the ridiculous 14m wages ? All you have to do is throw a coin off a cliff and that whole Monaco team is dead.

He will go down as an average player in 20 years time because he wont have played the 2 most important competitions in football...

Wrong

He played in the Champions League in 2009/2010

Him in action against Arsenal, a match he went on to score the winner in.

No, I am not wrong, playing for the sake of doing so doesnt bring you any status!

Falcao can play WC 2014, but Colombia (which is currently in the qualifying zone) wont even get past first round or so. The same with Porto, because they lost 6-2agg to Arsenal...

Sorry misread i thought you said he would never play in either competition at all not never get far in one.

Monaco will be in the CL soon, tbh it's only a matter of time.

Colombia have a great team to make it out of first round.

Brazil is the one that might disappoint greatly.

Brazil might disappoint, but that means we will get knocked-out at QFs!

Brazil never, ever finishes in second. That means we get a pub team in the second round. Than we either lose in the QF or we reach the final (we never lost a SF)...

Why do this to Falcao? :(

He is very decent person, religious, donates lots of money.

doesn't take away from the fact that he's gone off to Monaco for reasons outside of football

Now hold on - who are we exactly to judge if a club splashes a huge amount of money on new players? Let's not be hypocrites, shall we? It is not even certain we made a bid for him and already there's bitterness about him not joining us, sore losers.
