I rate RVP above Falcao.

I get your point as RVP is as prolific too but its not the same to most People because RVP is not quite a pure striker or old fashioned no.9 or as intimidating as falcao but imho RVP overall is a better player than falcao(on that I agree with you) but falcao is the best pure striker or finisher around now. RVP is a striker that plays as well as scores but falcao is a striker that does his job in context and excellently too I.e to finish

Why? Falcao is the better Striker, reflected through his fast growing status as the best No. 9 in the world.

Exactly this. Falcao might be better at finishing chances but overall RVP is a better player, brings a lot more to the side.

Completely agree. And in today's modern systems, very very few teams use systems that utilizes a pure number nine and none of the top teams in the world do that. Nowadays a striker is expected not only to score and finish but to create and assist. A striker is expected now to make space for others and most importantly a striker is expected to defend.

I've probably said this a thousand times, but give me a Drogba over any striker in the world any time.

If only Torres was more confident & clinical in front of goal, we wouldn't really need to go and sign Falcao.

If torres can just strike the ball i would be happy, even if he misses, just try! for this reason alone, i say we need a striker. asap

This is what ive been saying here for ages over the whole cavani vs falcao battle, if were going for a big name then cavani is our man, offers somethings more, can defend, take a peno, create, can play out wide, maybe even a partner to torres at times, he just offers more as a player and most importantly something different.

I can only imagine how great chelsea would of been if instead of shevchenko mourinho was let get ibrahimovic all those years ago....could you imagine drogba and Ibrah on the same team? maybe it wouldnt of worked but if anyone could of made it work it was mourinho.

But Falcao is three yrs younger, by age of 28/29 he could be even better. Both are fantastic strikers, but I would say Falcao is more on fire right now.
