I'd rather 10-15 goals from a handful or different players than one that scores 30+ a season.

For Atletico de Madrid Falcao has 10 goals while their next highest scorer Turan has 2. They play for Falcao and Falcao only. I'm not knocking his talent but that is one of the reasons he scores so many at Atletico (penalities boost his stats too). I think it's a negative mentality to rely on one player so much.

I cant believe people actually think if we signed Falcao we would just rely on him to score all the goals!!! even in 09/10 when Drogba was scoring for fun we still had Lampard, Anelka, Malouda and Kalou all chipping in with plenty of goals and it would be no different if we sign Falcao, we would still score goals from all over the pitch.

Sorry but disagree here. We would have a number 9 that scores consistantly and add in Mata, Hazard et all goals. Torres record infront of goal isn't anywhere near our rivals top boys.

Can you prove that Falcao would score consistently? No you can't, you can only speculate. So don't be to sure. Does it matter how many goals the number '9' at other clubs scores? I'd rather be at the top of the table with a a number 9 that score 10 goals a season than third with a number 9 that scores 30. Rooney scored 27 woop de do, how many trophies did ManU win? Van Persie scored 30 big bloody deal how many trophies did Arsenal win? Sure the ManCity strikers scored a bag full goals each, but were they consistent? Hell no. Our rivals won shit last year with a striker bagging huge goals and the one that did had four strikers playing at different times with huge levels of inconsistency.

Do you also want me to go to University and achieve a PhD in Psychology so I can interview and dissect their personality just so I can prove or disprove a basless statement you made?

Faclao looks confident and Torres doesn't. That has nothing to do with mental fortitiude, buddy.

Well there is big difference between this two; while Falcao is playing football, Torres is only trying to. Nino is not a dangerous striker anyomore, his confidence gone. He might be the best striker 3 years ago, but now, he just isnt it. His fitness lack and mental problems are too big for him.

I'd rather have a striker that looks like he's going to score, even in games where the opposition play 7-8 men behind the ball.

Hopefully Lukaku keeps improving at West Bromwich cause Torres has no long-term future at Chelsea.

Some people's scepticism here is ridiculous.Falcao is probably the third best player in the world and we have a discussion will he make it here, jesus christ. What about Messi, can he make it here ? What do you think experts ? If we were buying Falcao having an inform Drogba or Torres from his Liverpool days OK, but srsly what's the concern here ? It's not like he would do any worse then Torres or any striker we have at the moment.

Exactly. Falcao is just a class act. I don't think any team out there would say no to Falcao (except Barcelona).

Reasons why he wouldn't suceed:

1. Because he relies on being the vanguard of the attack. Everyone plays for Falcao to score. Last season Atletico scored 53 goals with Falcao scoring 24 of them. That is roughly 45% of the total goals scored by Atletico. I don't care what anyone says that kind of stat is not acceptable at a club like Chelsea, to rely on one plays so heavily is foolish. What if he is injured? Or what if he is suspended for a few games? It virtually renders the team incapable of scoring goals.

2. If everyone is playing for Falcao, than the attack becomes somewhat predicatable. Like Arsenal last year, sure Van Pesie was very successful scoring 30 goals but when you looked at the Arsenal starting XI a person would know exactly where the goals would be coming from: Van Persie. Right now Chelsea is very unpredicatable, will Oscar score? Or will Hazard? Maybe Mata will bag a few. With Falcao on board every team in damn Premiership will know that Falcao is the dangerman and every player will be looking for him at all times. He might score 30 goals in the season, but at what cost? Mata, Oscar and Hazard chipping in for a combined 15 goals?

3. He is a goal scorer that is it, a pure striker so don't expect any tactical flexibility from him. He can't split defence with a pass, he can't cross well, he isn't a great dribble and his first touch is bit rough at times. At least he can score with his head and both of his feet.

He may be one of the best goal scorers in the world but to place him in the top three players in the world is very naive in the grand scheme of things. I want a striker that can do everything, like Drogba. They dont'need to play like him just have an overall balanced game like his is/was. Benzema at times can be this type of player, so can Jovetic or even Danny Boy.

Okay expert, why would he suceed?

@, Amen

I'd also add, having watched much of Madrid's matches last season, that the team rarely scored against teams that packed the box with defenders because that practically nullified Falcao's influence. While only a few teams do that in La Liga, most teams here in the PL apply that tactic against us.

He'll take us to the next level. We'll be conquerors with him. I couldn't see many goaless games with Falcao and the Maestro's playing. Torres or no Torres, we need to bring a striker into the team in January. Might as well get the best one in the world. He doesn't rely on pace, just his incredibly brilliant finishing (with both feet and head) and insanely killer instinct.

Seems like he can hold the ball up (Not to Drogba's level), makes good runs, has good movement and great positioning in the box as well. The complete Striker, in terms of getting goals, winning games and leading the line. A total machine.

So Falcao is scoring only because everyone is playing for him and his teammates don't score only because they feed him and not because they are shit and can't score themselves. What about when he was at Porto and when Hulk got double figures aswell ? Look at his goals against us, I dont see any tap ins or hardcore service there, he made them almost by himself.Lethal players don't need service anyway, you give him one chance bam 1-0.

Falcao the third best player in the world? Over the likes of Xavi, Iniesta, Benzema, RVP, Aguero etc? Behave.

Every1 can have their's best top3.For example I think Xavi is old now and isn't what he was 2-3 years ago.Benzema... no comment, first atleast he need to learn how to score tap ins.Aguero apps 51 31 goals, Falcao apps 59 48 goals.U can choose any1 from Iniesta, RVP and Falcao for 3rd best player in the world and mine is the colombian.

I'd take Falcao over Xavi, Benzema, and Aguero. I'd definitely take Iniesta over him and possibly a healthy RvP.
