warnie_666 1,081
1. If the team already had Rooney scoring +20 goals a season for many years now, they sure as hell didn't need Van Persie too after also getting Kagawa. I'm sure their initial plan was to play Rooney up front on his own and Kagawa behind him but when Van Rapist became available, they bought him too as a sign of intent. Basically that means one out of Rooney, Van Persie and Kagawa will always be on the bench but that doesn't seem to be a problem for any of them, whereas we are worried that if we bring even one quality player to compete with Torres, he will once again break in pieces and be shit again.2. No matter how good he does when he's on form (which btw he hasn't been so far during his time at Chelsea, although things are looking likely to improve at this rate), we simply can't trust a player who can't handle the slightest of competition. What happens when his form drops or he gets a lengthy injury? We would be in the exact same situation where Scumpool were when they trusted Torres too much and that ended up costing them titles when they had to play shit players like David N'Gog every time Torres wasn't available. Not saying Sturridge is shit or anything but by the looks of things he's gone by next season if he feels he isn't trusted enough at Chelsea, and honestly I can't blame him. Who do you suggest we get to replace Danny if he goes? A quality player like Falcao for the good of the team, or a shit player like N'Gog just to keep Torres happy?1. In his 9 seasons Rooney scored more than 20 goals in only 4 seasons. So I dont see where you bring that argument that Rooney has been scoring 20+ goals for "many seasons". Lampard has scored 20+ goals on a much consistent basis but that doesnt mean he is a striker.Rooney always had a striker upfront with him in RVN, Berbatov (although Shit), Tevez. Not counting Ronaldo as he isnt exactly no.9. And now they have RVP. Last year he had to play upfront on his own and they didnt have a clinical no.9 to support him like in previous years and that cost them the title. Hence they went in for RVP. And they were in for RVP right from the start.2. I agree you need competition upfront for Torres but that doesnt mean we break the bank and bring in 50m Falcao to sit on the bench waiting for Torres to fail and that also doesnt mean we bring in a shit like N'Gog. Sturridge is a damn good player and has proved it time and again playing for Bolton and Great Britain. And dont compare Scumpool to Chelsea. Scumpool only had Torres as the goal scorer while Chelsea have Always had scorers all over the pitch. And obviously IF Danny goes then we may think of bringing Falcao. But for now I dont see the need to bring in Falcao with Torres and Studge upfront.

Henrique 9,133
I dont know why we are discussing this, because you have to remember the transfer window closed few days ago, and I'm sure Falcao wont leave Atletico in january.Lets stop the madness. Kojo 4,676
why everyoene wants to buy a 35mill+ CF when clearly cm is our weakest position is beyond me??It's stupid, people just want us to go out and spend 30 odd million for a player in every position. I've been really wanting that Loic Remy, he's very cheap and a good striker with pace, just needs to be a bit better with his finishing, he can also play on the right wing. Just things like that, central midfield is what we need to invest heavily on!.And with financial fair play a most certain to be installed in, it wouldn't be wise at all for us to just go squandering 30 million on strikers, when we've already spent like 50 million on Torres who might still have a good season, and Daniel Sturridge who is full of flair and wants to prove people wrong. Kojo 4,676
Because he rapes goalkeepers and the goal.He has been accused of rape several times when he first joined Arsenal, that is why. Then he admitted to cheating on his wife a few months after, probably something shady going on there in that part of his life.

Kojo 4,676
Wow I didn't know that. Would've cane in handy when my Arsenal friend was ragging on me about the affair JT had.JT's just goes to show how much power the media have, JT's was never proven, Wayne Bridge's ex denied it, and she was his ex at the time, not like current girlfriend when it happend (or did happen). It could've easily been blown off however, if it hadn't of been for the media re opening it ALL THE TIME!, every year they would make up a story without any fucking proof just trails, one year it was 'JT is still with Bridge's EX now', then this one went on for ages, when the Media written that JT apparently was sleeping with Wayne Bridges EX for months before it was found out.AND WITHOUT ANY PROOF TOO!, the reason JT is hated is because people don't think twice, especially rivals who believe what they want to believe rather than thinking of the alternative, it's just JT is a cheat and all this blah blah blah. I also love how Ryan Giggs gets away with it, for sleeping with his brothers wife, which is much fucking worse. But Ryan Giggs is really respected, it's just the way the media works, they can choose who to hate and who to not hate, they have way too much power.Venessa, if that was her name, even denied it and still does to this very day. Because of the kick off with Bridge retiring from England and leaving because of it, it all just went bad on John Terry, don't get me wrong i thought John Terry was a tosser when he was a young lad at like 20, for what he used to be like in the night clubs and that. But he's no where near as bad some people make him out to be, i don't even take that affair into account at all when i go on about John Terry's controversies or anything bad about him.Sorry to go off topic, as you can see i like to get my points across in the most detailed way possible. Jype 6,398
@, why do you call him van Rapist?http://news.bbc.co.u...don/4091114.stmThat's why. He wasn't convicted but that's hardly a surprise because usually with rape cases the evidence has to be very solid before they can convict someone of such a horrible thing. Obviously it was quickly swept under the rug and never talked about again by the media but there certainly was something shady going on. At the very least he cheated on his wife, the mother of his children, but for some reason he never got any stick over it. Even the Gooners have now finally started to realize what kind of a man Robin really is.
Pacquiao 1,834
Damn Colombia were just brilliant today.they were brilliant but damn greedy! every time they got near goal they just shot! it was like a team full of Sturridge's. Falcao kept making great runs but whenever his teammates had even half a yard to shoot they would, even though alot of the time Falcao was in a better position. Pacquiao 1,834
why everyoene wants to buy a 35mill+ CF when clearly cm is our weakest position is beyond me??it could be argued that the Striker position is just a weak as we haven't had a striker score 20+ league goals since the 2009/10 season. Why wouldn't we spend big on a striker when that striker is the best in the world and could actually be a realistic signing.

Muzchap 8,966
and what happened with this case?Unproven I think or was dropped - a couple of women came forward. It's hard to judge - I don't get some women - they throw themselves at these guys then claim it wasn't consensual - really devalues the whole process for the genuine people...That's assuming he's innocent of course... There's not "getting why" does fake rape accusations, a few are just cunts who will try and take advantage of situations like that, which shouldn't devaluate anything, it's like saying mens defense in a case like that is devalued because some actually does rape. It's not like a male will come forward himself when he hasn't been accused. I agree with Muz, don't know why women devalue themselves in throwing around false accusations when they were clearly the ones who instigated it, money is like the female Viagra. Anyways... Tomo 21,751
It annoys me when i see we should not sign a forward because it will put Torres's nose out of joint, we should have brought one in this summer even if Torres was on top form.Look at United, Rooney and Welbeck formed a promising partnership last season, didn't stop Fergie going out and splashing on RVP and furthermore Rooney could not hide his exictement about RVP coming.Barca after Three league title's in a row look to bring in Fabregas despite having a settled midfield trio of Busquets, Xavi and Iniesta. Xavi, the player who was at the time in the most danger of losing his place with Cesc coming in (when you consider age and style of play) was one of the biggest backers to try and get Fabregas in.If we ever in the future have a chance to bring in someone of the calibre of Falcao or Cavani then we should jump at the opportunity regardless of the form off our current forwards, it is improving team's when you are on top, that keeps top teams at the top.
