Styles 9,790
No FFP for Monaco? How can they spend so much? They aren't in the Champions League and won't be for a while so it isn't an issue now.

Ronaldo 28
As Monaco use to be a really good team...... With the new owner on board, you can bet a few big names being there....
Bosnian Blue 2,471
Massive transfer fee, massive wages, huge amount of money and almost tax free. It doesn't get any better on the financial side really. Special Juan 28,141
No, no it's not. People are calling him a mercenary when he clearly isn't. Did you read it or just skim through it? The whole point of it is explaining he has 0 choice in whether he joins Monaco or Chelsea or some random team in Japan. Everything written above is factual. Just because it doesn't rub well with you and you perhaps can't accept that this is the modern era of football and they'll make shit loads of money regardless doesn't mean it's 'complete balls'.So basically Falcao and Hulk were kidnapped by their agents, held to gun point and told "you are going to these clubs no matter whether you like it or not" No chance in hell.Mercenary, no more, no less. Going to a little shitty club in a small fry league from Liga BBVA.......You can shot long posts, big articles and so called at me but you won't change my mind, all in all he is one greedy bastard. Special Juan 28,141
Except Atletico have huge debts and have to sell him. Why don't people understand this? That is not what we are discussing, we are discussing why a player of Falcao's quality goes to Monaco. The same figures that are touted about from Monaco are the same figures coming out of stories from us, PSG and also City yet the man is Monaco bound. Pacquiao 1,834
As soon as Porto Qualify for the CL he leaves, as soon as Atleti qualify for the CL he leaves!!! Such a shame he wont get the chance once again to prove himself in the CL! A world class striker who no top team can afford or are willing to pay for! such a shame! But to drop to that level for more cash over actual ambition is cringe worthy. Especially when there is bigger and better teams chasing him.How do you know his only option is Monaco? They can't afford to keep him.Read what was posted on the previous pages. No other club is prepared to pay what they are asking, or meet his wage demands. Add to that the complication of his third party ownership, moving to Monaco will allow him to freely choose where he wants to go after that. City have multi million pound owners, we have one and PSG do at least one I bet would be willing to agree to his terms especially as City are supposedly wanting Cavani and are ready to stump everything for him. That article means as much as a story in The Mail, Star or Sun....Until I hear something from his agent or player himself then nothing is a fact. Mufassir08 2,400
These 3rd party ownerships are like making a deal with the devil. You will get fame and fortune but in return you will have no say in your transfers and other shit and you'll be basically selling your soul . nadavTKL 1,787
If he realy signs in Monaco, i just wont understand him. I think it will be fair to say the player (who is one of the best ST's in the world) didnt made any progress in his prime years (3-4 seasons). Porto-Atletico-Monaco. I called it going backwords. The best team he played in its clearly AVB's Porto in 2010/2011, the "only" thing he got in Atletico its playing against better players in a better league, but Porto of AVB was a beast of a team. Again, if its true- thats realy disappointing. I dont care if he'll play here in Chelsea or not, i just hope as a football fan who likes watching him, that he'll make the right choice and go to a big club, or at least (at least) stay in Atletico. Pacquiao 1,834
Which top teams can actually sign him though?PSG - Have Ibra so don't need himMan City - Have Aguero and Tevez so don't need himReal Madrid - Are not able to sign him even if they want toChelsea - Not wiling to pay the asking priceBayern Munich - Dont seem interested (maybe because they feel they will get Lewandowski)Barcelona - would never spend £50+ million on one player and dont really need himDortmund - Cant afford himMan United - Have RVP so don't need him Italian teams - Cant afford him Where else is there to go for him? Monaco seems the best option to me.
