Wonder if Mourinho might be tempted to drop Courtois for Cech in this one...

I think this is a real possibility. To trigger a response in Tibo (unlike KDB he is one to get better from this), to avoid uncertainty creeping up, to put Tibo out of the wind, to use Cech' leadership, to build in more certainty in the title run .....

It really would be Mourinho, unless ............ Unless he considers Tibo one of the untouchables and protects him.

Ps: to critics - this has nothing to do with 'it is his or isnt his fault', it is about strategy and psychology.

This game worries me.

I know...remember a couple of seasons ago when all of those qpha trolls bombarded this forum? Very ugly affair indeed. Bushmaster & the bunch - they were on here for weeks

Surprisingly, he didn't. At least as far as I remember.

That was a crazy match. That was AVB's CFC. Remember 1-0 with CFC finishing w/ 9? Horrible match. I do remember CFC outplayed them w/ only 9 & came close to getting the equalizer. Then in the match @ Stamford Bridge, The Blues destroyed them. Torres even got a hat-trick. Good Times enroute to Double.

Imagine Chris Foy being the referee for this game again...

He hasn't been indicted for tax fraud yet? I am telling you that guy is corrupt. There is a reason why all of the underdogs like him referring their matches.

Ok so you would like to see us without Cesc in the big games

To me that's just crazy - who would you play instead - last time I looked we weren't exactly stacked with creative players

Cesc deserves to start - it's that simple for me

I don't think that's crazy at all. Yes, cesc is a creative player but tell me when has his creativeness given us an edge in a big match. From the recent past I can think of psg both legs, pool both legs, spurs final, city home game , spurs defeat. In all these matches, I can barely think of things that cesc did. Even when united were down in the dumpers, he got owned by fellaini.

As for "deserving" to start, u r right but aimply cos we have no depth. Oscar and cuadrado barely look like pro players at the moment, which leaves us with

Rambo-matic

Willian-cesc-hazard

As the only option.

But cesc in the pivot is a no-no-no. Almost evrytime he has played in the pivot in a big game, we have been over run, be it by the likes of mason and bentelab or by a 10 men psg.

How much of that is because of the way we setup in big games ? Sit deep and hoof the ball. Not sure how Cesc can succeed in that tactic. Games where we have actually attacked (Arsenal, CL group stages, and Spurs final) he was pretty good
