Didn't envisage or wasn't ever confident that we would score tonight, fantastic effort from the players to keep going as make no mistake this was a very tough encounter - think there is a huge sigh of relief from the players & José!

Everton are a different side from earlier in the season, think their in a false position which makes this win even more sweeter.

Thought our play was lethargic & laborious but you have to give credit to Everton who carried out their game plan to perfection - almost!

Cech - legend, Matic - monster, result - priceless!

Good performance and we certainly deserved the win. Big BIG 3 points. Should have sealed it earlier though if we had been more decisive and not over-elaborated in the final third.

Also, why does there always seem to be controversy when we play Martinez's side at home?

2010/11 - Beat Wigan 1-0 - think there was a foul in that goal with Torres or Malouda IIRC

2011/12 - Beat Wigan 2-1 - both of our goals were offside

2013/14 - Beat Everton 1-0 - some might say Ramires dived to earn that free kick which led to our goal

2014/15 - Beat Everton 1-0 - Ivanovic appeared to headbutt McCarthy

Was that Matic's best performance for us? I think so. at worst, it's as good as the stoke one.

His performances vs City and Arsenal Home last season always comes to mind. Especially City given the quality of the opposition, his first start with the team in a very decisive game, but most importantly him battling with Yaya Toure who used to give us nightmares after we play them.

Great three points this evening! Wow, Cech was unreal. Matic was a boss all night. Thought we dominated. Cuadrado look good. But I have to give my MotM to Willian as he has continuely worked so hard match after match and has struggled to put it in the net, but tonight he got a HUGE goal late! Willian is the man tonight.

Nice to finally win with a late goal, though similar to Terry last year vs Everton at the Bridge, also 1-0.

Just keep winning mates and the league title will take care of itself :D :D

Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:

I hope that Cuadrado-Hazard-Costa/Remy-Fabregas-Matic make our passing quicker for the rest of the season. good win, Cech MotM, but I would have liked to see some more speed of attack at least during the first 25 minutes of the 2nd half.

I was at work during the match. Decided to turn off phone and wait it out and watch it when I get home.

God, you don't know how much will power it took for me to not check the score.

Got home, watched it, loved it. Great Fucking day!

About the game, a lot of great performances. Great defending display by Everton too.

Willian, loving the dude right now. Although you can see the good and bad with him. Oscar always gets into the box from that #10 position while Willian never does and instead always goes towards the ball.

That said, great performance on the whole.
