One thing that really disapointed me about Filipe are his crosses. For a fullback who's supposedly very good going forward his crosses were often inaccurate or lacked effect. Jose tried to sub him in a few times when we needed a goal but he didn't really make the difference although part of the problem is that Eden dont use his fullback as much as he should.

I liked Filipe a lot when he was at Atletico but it seems he won't have a significant place here. I don't mind that we use him to land either Grizzy or Alderweireld.

jose sees "potential" in oscar, which a lot of us can, but so far he has done nothing to give any indication that he would live upto it. so stop comparing apples and oranges.

Azpi>Luis IMO, Luis is great going forward but is not a patch on Azpi defensively. Azpi is one of the best 1v1 fullbacks in the world, players have such a hard time getting past him.

Ivanovic basically plays like a winger half the time so we are hardly gunna have the other fullback bombing forward all the time.

When Cesar has gone forward he has contributed some decent play, prime example Costa's winner at Anfield.

It was the same story the few times he was given a chance by Del Bosque which is why Juanfran took his starting spot very swiftly. He can't build from the back, his crossing is subpar, technically he's nothing special & he doesn't have the stamina to dominate a flank like Ashley Cole did in his prime.

He's very good defensively & there's nothing wrong with that but offensively, his limitations are as clear as day & night.
