Hard to stick the ball in the back of the net when the players behind you are the midfield equivalent of a kitchen blender. Some wonderful quality fruits and vegetables being mashed into some putrid shit through stale tactics and burned-out players.

So...this so called 2nd striker in the world only scored 6 competitive goals for Chelsea since the end of January 2015. Six. 25 games played. Let that sink in.

I'm not kidding. Look it up yourselves. SIX. 1 of those was against Tel-Aviv and another was a handwrapped gift from Villa.

I would put money on Drogbas record in 2008 and Rooneys in 2010 being as bad if not worse, far, far too early to write him off especially with the team overall playing crap.

Let's look at how many players we used to have in the box last season.

Not only Diego, but other players also do not run into the box this season as they used to.

Good old Ivanovic, 2 assists and one moment where he was asking for the ball in the box.

To be fair, while Costa doesn't help himself with the antics on the pitch, he's not entirely at fault for his lack of goals in 2015. Remember the first half of last season? We were playing extremely well and creating tons of chances in every game and Costa got on the scoresheet in almost all of them. But since January, we started to become more pragmatic, create less chances and the goals have invariably dried up, not just from Costa but also some of the other players. No strikers would be able to score if the team doesn't create chances on a regular basis.

he actually has 7 goals since the end of January, and i see you mention his goal against Villa as a hand-wrapped gift? it was actually Costa who forced the mistake from the GK in the first place for that goal! I remember Carragher praising Costa on MNF for the way he closed the Villa keeper down, when most strikers wouldn't have even bothered, which led to Guzan having to kick the ball first time with his weaker foot, rather then take a touch first and kick it with his stronger foot. You also failed to mention Costa has had 3 injury layoffs in that time, these layoffs do not help a strikers consistency, and then this season we clearly have creativity issues, we simply dont create any good chances for Costa, i cant think of many moments this season where Costa has missed an easy chance, believe me i would be the first to criticize Costa if he was getting chance after chance every week and missing them all, but fact is he simply doesnt get chances, which is why i find the criticism of Costa quite strange, its like people just want a new toy up front.

Look at Drogba between March 30th 2008 to February 21st 2009 he scored 5 goals in 32 games and in that period he got himself sent off in the 2008 CL final which proved very costly! maybe we should have sold him then also right?

Dude it's 6. I don't know where you got the 7th goal from. The COC Final goal is counted as an own goal if that's where you got it.

I'll respond more of this later but want you to know its 6.

no Costa was officially awarded that goal in the League Cup Final.

Good point. Costa isn't getting service, no one is scoring, no one is defending, no one is creating. If we're selling underperforming players everyone needs to be gone. Except Willian, Azpi, and Begovic.

Well this is true.

well it didnt look like that to me, i remember Shawcross elbowing Costa and then when Costa went into the box for the freekick he didnt even say or do anything to Shawcross, he elbowed Costa because Costa told him he smelt, so if anything Shawcross was concentrating more on Costa then the game, just a shame we have no creativity in our team otherwise we could have exploited that.
