His acceleration is bad and his touch often heavy, but when he plays smartly, participates in build-up and scores I have no complaints. Yesterday was the Diego I want to see week in week out. And he scored with his head! Super well done. kellzfresh

CHOULO19 24,332
Thought yesterday was his best game in a Chelsea shirt for a while and that's even if you take away his goals. His movement was excellent and cause all sorts of havoc to Soton which was always his best attribute.
DYC. 7,542
Record in PL in 14/15 + 15/16 + 16/17: Costa: 51 goals in 85 games = 0,60 goals per game / 7222 min = 0,64 goals per 90 min Lukaku: 52 goals in 106 games = 0,49 goals per game / 8961 min = 0,52 goals per 90 min Aguero: 67 goals in 89 games = 0,75 goals per game / 6969 min = 0,87 goals per 90 min Kane: 66 goals in 96 games = 0,69 goals per game / 7959 min = 0,75 goals per 90 min

Didier Drogba is a good example of this....for periods of a game he won't seem to be in it, but then does something fantastic the next minute. That lay-off to Hazard (for the chance that followed the first goal) was sublime. Didn't even look at Hazard before making the pass, and he weighted it perfectly. Shows what he can do when he's in the mood.

MrExcalibur100 7,124
I thought he had a really poor game. Almost everything he touched turned to shit. Sad thing to say but I'm just glad he won't be here next season. xPetrCechx, Styles, The Skipper and 1 other

CHOULO19 24,332
Thought he actually started brightly until that clash with Davies. But overall another poor performance. A striker in the summer has to be top priority. kellzfresh

I'll take a consistent 7/10 striker over a hot and cold one like Costa any day. Morata obviously would be ideal, Lukaku for a reasonable price is a good option as well.
Leif 6,006
Exactly. With top players elsewhere, you really never need the greatest striker on earth up front so that you win cups and titles. Juventus had some of the most no-name guys ever and still played incredibly well (it's amazing that they've got 6 titles in a row already, it doesn't feel that long). If Vucinic, Matri & Tevez were good enough over around 5 years, we'll certainly have 'good enough' in whoever we buy - as long as they don't consistently break down moves. That is not a 7/10 striker (i'm looking at Lukaku). That's a hot and cold striker, which is not what we're talking about here.
