Special Juan 28,140
If he isn't fully fit then god help the rest of the league when he is up and running. His bending runs last night playing on the shoulder were so effective and gave them all sorts of problems. Got hauled down on two or three occasions one resulting in one of their lads being stretchered off.......He will score against Arsenal on Sunday because he will prove too much for them. He fits us perfectly; really great business especially when considering the fee. Barbara, Chelsea? and Tomo

Popular Post! ish 5 Posted October 2, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted October 2, 2014 is it just me but does costa seem super aware of offside stuff. like doesnt touch the ball when he knows its offside, so instead waits for defenders to touch it before attacking him. or just having the timing to peel back enough to get onside before the pass. really noticed it in the sporting game, not something you see that often from strikers. iseah100, killer1257, bababoom and 2 others

I haven't seen a player this aware of the offside since Crespo (who was an absolute genius at it).If Arsenal try to play the high-line as always he could have a field day. Popular Post! Barbara 15,149 Posted October 2, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted October 2, 2014 That's because he knows how to time his runs perfectly. I haven't seen a player this aware of the offside since Crespo (who was an absolute genius at it).If Arsenal try to play the high-line as always he could have a field day.many players are so static... they get in position to make a run or receive an assist, but they don't keep moving. they stay rooted at their spot waiting, waiting, waiting and then the defenders just take a couple of passes ahead and boom, offside. Costa is always moving. He never stops. If he doesn't receive the ball he doesn't spend the rest of the afternoon rooted waiting to receive. He'll move elsewhere, he'll go deep to take the ball (many times he's caught in the flank, far from the box because he sees when his team is having problems breaking through opposition lines. And when he doesn't receive the pass - waiting in a good position - he'll lecture his teammates (which I love). there's no quiet moment with him in the pitch, he's either moving smartly, or helping the team to try a way to break the defense or he's lecturing everyone and their mother. It's such a leadership and an awareness and commitment to his role in the team, that it just brings us to a new level. He doesn't influence games only when he scores or assists. He influence games also bringing life and fight to the team, something we've missed A LOT against the lesser sides last year. He's invaluable, absolutely, invaluable to our team. I'm so happy we were lucky enough to have a guy like him. It must be good karma for being nice and enduring Torres for so long as we did... mediator, TheOneChan95, Bir_CFC and 5 others
Special Juan 28,140
We have been so used to and for so long watching a striker he couldn't be that aware anymore let alone look dangerous.Right now there is no better striker around that is as sharp and consistent as Costa.
