🇪🇸 Diego Costa

He is an absolute handful, even when he doesn't score, he tortures defenses, (in this case two beasts in Pepe and Ramos), with his incredible pace and power. One of the very few WC strikers that can lead a frontline single-handed.

We need him to score. We buy WC strikers to bag a buttload of goals. If we want striker whom got pace we have torres, as he always beat opponents in 1on1 even against worldclass clubs with his incredible skill and pace, but utterly became incredible shit when it comes to scoring goals.

Running through channels, leading the line like a pro then scoring a brace. The way he runs through the channels and gets himself into scoring positions is exactly what Torres has NOT done in his 4 years at Chelsea. After he lost a fair bit of his electric pace, he was never able to compensate due to a lack of footballing brain.

I'm absolutely certain Fernando would not have gotten himself into goal-scoring positions to score those goals.

Which is what I have now highlighted in the Milan video. I'm sure the 36 goals (more than any other CF in Europe's top 5 leagues except for maybe Zlatan) he has scored this season is one of the reasons we have done a deal to sign him <_< Let's be realistic, strikers won't score goals in every game, so I was just showing the other qualities he brings in the Madrid video. I highlight this because some people judge him solely based on his goal-scoring highlight reel but not on the build up process and all round forward play.

Thats exactly what Im saying. You just repeated my point (Or I to you) We buy strikers, WC strikers, to give immediate impact which is goals. We had experience in buying strikers that amazing in some aspects such as sheva, anelka, torres, mutu. But scoring many goals isnt one of them. I've had enough experience watching chelsea strikers come in come out with excuse "he didnt score, but he's involved, gave difference in that game". See this thread when torres had his debut in Chelsea uniform. He wasnt scoring at all but people (including me) said things about how he bring difference, his dribble, his pace changing the game. Look at where he's now. Just a blue Trojan horse filled with heavy money waiting to fuck us up in the end.

We buy strikers to score a lot of goals (yeah in reality ofc not in every games). End of argument

torres dosent have speed anymore. he got outpaced by ryan nelson last year (who retired halfway through the season)

Notice his technical qualities in these videos and his very high ambidexterity as well , qualities in his game that are often overlooked or simply unacknowledged.

Also, these are games against the best sides in La Liga and he dominates them. I'm trying to find a compo of him vs Barcelona. If anyone finds that, feel free to post it here.

If the treatment made players worse, I'm sure it would have been found out by now and a player like Diego Costa would not go see her(him?)

Yes it's silly speculation really. RVP also had it and he's still quality every time when he comes back from injury. Benitez also sent quite a lot of Liverpool players to get the treatment when he was at Liverpool.

Daily Star saying we're gona go for Mandzukic instead due to fitness worries. Very much doubt it, 1. hes a Mourinho type and i think the deal has already been done to be announced after Saturdays CL final.

2. Daily Star are shit

I think deals will already be discussed, know who we want enquiries made even with a WC looming. Only thing that changes with WC's is there is a chance you find a gem in the tournament and decide you also want to sign him.

Daily Star is even on a level lower than Daily Mail. Just more made up bull*** to fill up column inches.

Fair point, but my point is that I wish they won't do it. I don't like how Atletico made it looks like they just want to push it for their favour and seem doesn't really care with the risk to Costa future. And I'm not only talking about Chelsea, but also for the Spain National Team.

About the doctor, maybe I just don't like she is unknown to Serbian Medical Chamber and Health Minister and has an intensive connections with scouse. Something doesn't seem right to me, especially about the last part.

Costa´s failure to overcome injuries quickly enough, his recovery time should be a warning, I feel.

Personally, I would rather see Chelsea to look elsewhere to find alternatives.

Madzukic at 20m is a much safer bet.

Even Martinez at 32m is my choice.

There is something about Costa, I do not feel at ease.
