Adnane 1,101
So we would be basically replacing a toxic inconsistent ( albeit world class when in form ) striker with one of the brightest young talents and most complete strikers in world football for a couple of quids ? OhForAGreavsie 6,075
On 07/09/2017 at 9:34 AM, It's too big said: What is his car doing in the car pack still? He's been gone for months and would have thought his car would be parked at or near his house in London or wherever. Sounds like BS Maybe it's his club car, rather than his personal one. We no longer have the deal with Audi under which all members of the men's and women's senior squads were given club Audis but perhaps there is a new 'motoring partner'. If it is a club car, you might think the club would reassign it, or return it to the leasing company, but we need to be seen to be playing this absolutely straight with Diego. We can't give him any opportunity to claim that the club was constructively dismissing him. By holding a car for him, we are showing that we are willing to fulfil all of our obligations, if only he would fulfil his.
The Skipper 20,609
60m is an ok deal, but not even that great in today's market. He should be going for 100m, but alas.

The Diego Diego Diego calls from the fans seems far far far away alas but the club move on and that wedge will help for any reinforcements in January lol yeah the board will be ridiculed and hounded on once again i guess. Chelsea, Atlético expected to agree €60m Diego Costa deal on Tuesday https://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2017/9/12/16292024/chelsea-atletico-expected-to-agree-60m-diego-costa-deal-on-tuesday
Thor 2,711
Would be stoked if we sent him over and possibly got Correa back along with a bunch of cash. They have some talented attacking options, so we may as well try to poach something off them. Obviously Griez would be the hardest to get over, but Correa is extremely talented and could quite easily turn out even better. Getting a young attacking gun would be an immense piece of work by the board.

Miki-Liki 405
Well, this is the second time I've listened to Roy Keane and it is the second time I've agreed with him (the first being when he could out Mourinho's bs), might pay attention to his comments in the future. Blusan Alamb 295
Atletico Madrid's final offer for Diego Costa: €55m + €10m Even though the summer transfer window has now closed, Atletico Madrid continue to pursue Diego Costa with the club's final offer for the Spanish forward totaling 65 million euros, 55 million up front with a further 10 million euros in bonus payments. Ahead of the opening of Wanda Metropolitano on Saturday, there was hope from those familiar with negotiations at Los Rojiblancos that the Chelsea forward would be present and that an announcement on a deal could be made. Unfortunately no such agreement has been reached with the London club still playing hard-ball as a direct response to the former Rayo Vallecano striker's behaviour. Make no mistake, Atleti are desperate to re-sign Costa and are making an offer that would far and away represent the club's biggest ever market operation. Los Colchoneros feel their final offer of 55 million + 10 million euros is more than fair, especially considering the fact that Antonio Conte has made it publicly now that he doesn't see last season's top scorer as a player he can count on. As a result, Costa is a valueless asset to the Stamford Bridge club in sporting terms, yet from an economic perspective the club has to consider what the going rate would be in the current market for a 20 goal a season striker. Atletico continue to await a response to their offer, although it is believed to be an issue regarding loyalty payments which are holding up the deal. Chelsea do not want to pay the Spaniard what he would be owed if a transfer should occur, which roughly works out to 5% of any initial transfer fee. 5% of 55 million works out at roughly 2.75 million euros and the Spanish club are simply unwilling to take this on given the fact they are paying such a heavy transfer fee initially. Once this issue is sorted out, it seems set that Costa will be an Atletico Madrid player once more with a January arrival set in stone. http://www.marca.com/en/football/spanish-football/2017/09/18/59bef2df268e3e95678b4666.html
