cfcs most wanted 657
Am i the only one who thinks he was never the answer to our problems, he is a good player for sure, but we needed a passer who could also have that dynamic edge of being a Cam when required, he certainly lacks that. BoyBlue96 990
He's a goner  Milan fans Twitter saying: " Fabregas has decided to join Milan in January and is searching for a villa in Como according to " with a link to the full article. He can't defend on the midfield. He is a liability next to Kanté as is Oscar. He and Oscar need to be axed if Conte wants his perfect midfield. That's why it really sucks that Nainggolan hasn't joined us he would be the perfect partner for N'Golo.
Jase 43,479
It does look like Fabregas doesn't have a future under Conte and if we're going to sell him, it'll probably be next summer. No way it'll be in January unless we can somehow find a quality replacement from somewhere.

communicate 2,703
I will wait for the end of the season before making decision on Fabregas, so far we have played 343 twice against hull and leciester. (before their ucl match, they rested Mahrez) We played well but let's wait longer  Chelseabluerising

BoyBlue96 990
He's done. Go(o)ner (lol). Too bad. I liked him and his creativity but he doesn't fit in 3-4-3 and if Conte switches to 3-5-2, expect Hazard as CAM on the 10 position behind the 2 strikers. Â So long, Cesc... Leif 6,006
I'm confused. None of us are blind, and we're all good at simplifying players and their strengths/weaknesses. So, why on earth aren't we saying, hey, this guy has the exact same skillset Pirlo had, and the same weaknesses, so let's err, play him in Pirlo's position considering we're essentially using the formation he played in. Kante & Matic is ENOUGH defensive power for a midfield. With Fabregas BEHIND them, there is no pressure on him to be some defensive wiz, and he gets complete freedom on the ball with protection all around him, instead of being chased down by anyone with legs and not having the pace to turn away. He is still a great player, better than good, and it's silly to suggest he's no longer a main player before trying him in his best position. (This super deep Pirlo position is where he played during his best Arsenal days, no?) Unionjack
Rekin 835
I think it is for the best. I think he is incredibly talented when it comes to passing and creativity, and could potentially have enjoyed one hell of a career under say Mancini in Yaya's role at Man C. Here though he has been exposed for many, many games. He works hard, but he is just slow and lacks the positional awareness that is essential when you are a central midfielder. I would rather he is shipped away while he can still play, and that we get a hybrid instead of a specialist in the mold of Nainggolan. Matic-Kante has been solid for a few games now, but I still feel a little bit paranoid about Matic dropping off sooner or later. the wes

(This super deep Pirlo position is where he played during his best Arsenal days, no?) He played there when he was very young but moved up the pitch as he got older. He played his best season for Arsenal as a #10 in 09/10. Back then Arsenal fans were yelling he's better than Lampard because he also added goals to his game (to be fair, he was truly amazing that season). As for the Pirlo comparison, if Fabregas truly was a Pirlo clone, you'd think Conte of all managers would see it. And the Serie A isn't the PL, the Pirlo role is probably (far) less effective in English football. Besides, bar being slow and delivering precise long passes, they're not the same. the wes

I used to goto Highbury if we was away just to watch him. And when he came with Diego I couldn't believe it. I threw a party. I know hes not fast just like Eden cant defend. But hes our most creative player. Stick him behind N'Golo -Matic/Chalobah and we would own the central midfield. Just like Eden he needs to be given the role hes good in, He cant go from wearing a magic fuckin hat to licking him out on loan in such a short time. Whats gonna happen if we need to alter the 3-4-3 to a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 and we dont have the players to fit it? We NEED these depth options. I also think Luiz could play as a deep pocket play maker in front of the CBs Also maybe Chalobah..

So if you want to play Fabregas that only leaves the 3-1-4-1-1 with Hazard having a free role behind Costa. But do you really think our general play would improve if we trade Pedro's tireless running/pressing from the front for Cesc's vision and passing?

Hes doing what Oscar has done since we signed ihm.running round like a Jack Russell with his top thied defending. Oscar gives his moments of genius too. There will bound to be a time we revert to a back 4. Different formations against diff teams. Cant use same tactics in every game
