I'd say that was a combination of the lighting from the image, and the shit fabrics/material Warrior use.

They were thinking of money. Warrior is shit but they offered Liverpoll £25m a year for wearing that hidous kit. They were also frustrated with being the number two Adidas sponsored team in England, after Chelsea of course.
