Reddish-Blue 2,503
first things first, GC just turned 28 (on 19th december to be precise), and DL is 26, so they both have atleast 4 good years each left. JT might not go on forever but he has been our best defender this season too and he has a couple of years in his bag too.now, i get your idea of buying zouma, i really do.but the main point of a good back 4 is consistency, how much time would zouma get in chelsea as a 4th choice CB. look at kalas !!! so thats 2 years atleast wasted for him.plus players like ake who are showing tremondous talent dont get a chance. simply does not seem worth it to me, especially since we have such big DM/ST issues as of this moment. If Aké gets his chance, he'll probably play in midfield, not defence. Waterfall 893
chalobah and ake both play midfield nowChalobah, yes. Ake, no. It's usually Baker and Loftus-Cheek playing in the double pivot positions

As evident in his performances with the first team.He doesn't have ze pedigree and hasn't passed or completed the 5 stage program of chelsea youth developmentstage 1- Go out on loan for atleast 3 seasonsstage 2- Finish each loan spells as one of the top players in that leaguestage 3- prove your readiness by walking on water and turning water into winestage 4- perform every houdini tricks to the managers satisfaction.stage 5- Don't bring air riffle to cobham. Waterfall 893
Ake is still a pretty good midfielder. As evident in his performances with the first team.Ake was alright for us, but I was simply correcting his statement. If we were to try a youngster at CM, Baker makes more sense IMO. At least that seems to be Jose's opinion.

CHOULO19 24,332
Im pretty sure Monaco is equaly strong financialy to us (I think they are even crazier nowdays when comes to spend money easily), while Inter; sure they cant compete with neither two, they lack money and reputation atm. While that is true, we and Monaco attract different types of players. They attract players who probably have had long careers and are looking for the money while if a player is young and looking to make a name for himself, the EPL would surely be his destination. The Skipper 20,609
Ake or Kalas aren't in the same class as Zouma. Kalas has the potential as a CB but Ake won't make it here as a CB, can only see him making it here as an anchor man DM.
BlueLyon 9,359
Fabian Schar, another wonder CB. Probably even better than Zouma atm.
Severinb 309
Fabian Schar, another wonder CB. Probably even better than Zouma atm.As i am from switzerland and follow the swiss league although its shit! And fabian schar is such an overrated player he needs 1-2 years more in a better league before joining a team like chelsea. His speed has to improve and he makes to many mistakes. He joined basel from a bad club in switzlerand 2 league and still needs time. I have only seen zouma play 3-4 times but he is a lot better than schär is at the moment! Ligue 1 will never be as tough as the EPL or the Serie A or La Liga nor will it have even a fraction of the marketability of those leagues. I think PSG is a special case because it is in Paris and because it was already the biggest club in France and because it was practically endorsed by Al Jazeera who advertised the club A LOT especially in the Arab world and France. But even with all that you would not have expected Hazard to move there instead of here or Neymar to go there instead of Barcelona. I think it is mostly correct to say that if you want to be regarded as one of the best in the world, you need to move to the top teams in the EPL or either one of Madrid, Barca, Bayern or Juve. bushman 2,043
Zouma´s stature & power at such a young age is amazing. His price of 13m is a joke & the French club is willing to let him go.
bushman 2,043
It looks like Jose is going for some giants, lately. This Zouma just might be another tree standing next to JT, I read.

Mourinho understands better than anyone that in the Prem you need power and height. With the balance of our Edens and Oscars we will be just as powerful as City for next seasons campaign.
