zolayes 14,489
seems the girls like his looks ...but i love the way he looks with the ball ...agree with esk ..he looks tremendous
Blueboy 14
Thought this topic was about the player's qualities, not about his hair . Love him to bits to be honest, he is cool on the ball and has amazing vision. Could grow into something like an Deco-ish player; not the most spectacular, but with great vision, always cool and steady when on the ball and on top of that Matic seems to have reasonably quick foot too! Manuf 1,448
And don't forget one thing. HE IS FUCKING HUUUGE! I mean 194 cm for a midfielder is quite impressive, isn't it?
LDN Blue 7,903
Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic wanted by Bologna in loan dealBologna are keen to sign promising Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic on a season-long loan. The 21-year-old Serb - who has already been capped twice at senior level - was greeted with excitement when he penned a four-year deal with the Blues last summer. The £1.5m signing from MFK Kosice made three appearances from the bench for Carlo Ancelotti's side, but a move to Italy should give the 6ft 4in giant a chance to play more regular first-team football. The Italian side are desperate to strengthen after finishing just one place above the relegation zone in Serie A last season.|| Source ||
EskWeston 696
Would be suprised to see Matic go on loan, he made good inroads last season and is the right age to be getting first team chances. Very composed on the ball and one we should be giving more games to this season.
Madmax 9,219
Hope this doesn't happen. We're already short on numbers in the middle. The midfield can't be any more threadbare.
5354 204
I doubt he will go.Unless (a new signing replacement for Ballack) has been signed. If not Matic will probably the one to step up Ballack's role.
Duppy Conqueror 1,537
would be very suprised if Matic left..i`m sure he`s pencilled in to be a first team squad regular this season..
- 25 - 167
Goal.com reporting that he's close to finalising a season long loan to Bologna. Madness to let another midfielder go in my opinion.
Kostas 1,468
You'd expect him to get some playing time with just Lamps,Essien,Mikel and Ramires at the midfield. That probably means that Ancelotti may use Malouda and/or Benayoun at the CM role this season. BomTrett 50
The bologna loan deal has come up again today, i saw it on IMscouting . com or whatever its called haha. Might be unreliable, but it was reported in July, and now again in august, so could happen. Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic is edging closer to the Stamford Bridge exit door.According to the Italian Tutto Mercato Web site, the 22-year-old is heading on loan to Bologna, who have beaten fellow Serie A sides Genoa and Udinese to his signature. The deal is expected to be tied up late next week, said the Web site.Matic is a 6.4ft central midfielder who has been dubbed "the Serbian Patrick Vieira" in his home country. BomTrett 50
I understand what you mean, a player that is going to playing in English football on a more regular basis (hopefully) in a few years, should be learning the english game, not buggering off somewhere random like Bologna. I'm sure theres plenty of championship clubs, or even lower Premier League teams that could offer the same amount of playing time for Nemanja that Bologna are offering. I hope it doesnt happen

Badboy 1,526
Matic is not going to gain anything by going to a league that is crumbling like serie a.
We Hate Scouse 10,326
Will he gain anything from staying at Chelsea?? If he would be getting game time he would be staying, but he isn't. No point keeping him here to sit on the bench, best thing to do is loan him out.
5354 204
If he is getting first team football, why not? Honestly...then it can pave way for well, McEeachran to come in...!the 3 midfield spaces can be filled by:1. Lampard2. Essien3. Mikel4. Ramires5. Benayoun6. Malouda7. Josh McEachran ?
