We should obviously not be relying on such things, but again we are somewhat lucky the other contenders also had bizarre results which helps us not fall out the race. I mean Sunderland for example there is no reason they should have beat City but they did. Also Newcastle on the trot of beating us beat Tottenham, some amazing saves from Krul. Arsenal losing to Utd surprised me but I guess good for us had cut the gap to 4 points.

However we must do better this year there are many teams fighting and we have to be up for the battle, that was 5 'easy' points we should have got and we must not lose anymore. I couldn't bear Liverpool to win it.

Ivanovich cant cross a ball.It's all well and good getting up and down the line with every attack, but his finishing crosses are bloody abismal. Pick out a bloody player man and FIND him !!!

Also think Lampard is not suited to his deeper role and the game bypassed him, and it's not the first time this season either. Play Luiz alongside Ramires as he's not a centre half, as he can tackle and pick a pass too.

And finally.......Get Torres fit. Even though Eto scored and took his goal well he was anonymous after that. At least Torres put himself about and is a constant thorn in defences side (this season so far) and links the play so much better up front.

And Eto'o doesn't? we opened the scoring in the last two games because of his pressing of the goalkeeper/defender.

We clearly are the team with most potential for improvement among the top clubs. Though our football just is not good enough, we grind out results with cleverness but we just have not been convincing this season. Players like Hazard should be firing on all cylinders right now. We do not only lack goals, but we lack crucial goals. Like a 2-0 vs WBA, a goal vs Everton or ManU that would have won the match. Exactly the goals Lamps and Mata scored last season, but Mourinho just does not use them correctly. Instead we are stuck with people like Willian, Iva, Oscar not performaing but still starting. Lamps need freedom to have a few runs to be effective, whilst Mata simply is no winger.

It is BS that MOu will make us a defensive team and force all our players to defy their natural attacking instincts like the media suggests. His Real team scored plenty and conceded few while having 5 players on the field who literally can't defend at all. Still our attacking players look inhibited, our attacks are too easy to read. We are just not producing enough with the attacking talents of Mata, Oscar, Hazard, Willian, Schürrle and the still deadly Eto'o and Lampard. Wtih those players we should get more bodies forward regularly, have more shots. When teams took the game to us and we countered them, we always looked good. But other then from counters, we usually can only hope for a mistake by the opponent to score.

You seem to be analyzing one aspect on the pitch. Mata has been poor all season as well... He doesn't put in any tackles nor has his passing been pinpoint and he isn't strong keeping possession of the ball.

The problems we're experiencing on the pitch have little to do with the personnel, it stems from having Ancellotti, AVB, RDM, Bentitez and now Jose as Manager. Its the many different philosophies and the little amount of time people like yourself and the media give for it to effectively seep into the players game. Right now we're relying on a lot of natural ability and little team cohesion/intuition, in time when we've had the same group and philosophy in place we'll start to see more movement and clever attacking intuition

But I feel Torres has been putting in better shifts over the 90 minutes than Samuel. I just think that Eto drifts out of the game. Perhaps I'm am slightly biased in favour of Torres, but I just feel that he is about to ignite our team up front. I really like his work rate off the ball, chasing back, hassling defenders on the ball and his link up play. Maybe I am just hoping to see the Torres of Liverpool do it for us. I can but hope... But I think that Mourinho has instilled in him a new confidence that we at Chelsea have never seen since we signed him and that if he can score a couple of league goals he will not look back.

Sadly, our team doesn't work by feeding the strikers. Our AM have a better chance of scoring.
