We are not signing Eto'o now. We're not signing anyone before the Old Trafford game. And I actually hope we don't sign Eto'o personally... Too old for the philosophy of the club, and a different sort of CF than what we need. I still hope we sign Rooney, and although I don't like his history (being or having been a Man Utd player) you have to give it to him - he's a great player and the sort of player we need. Great link-up play, an eye for goals, can drop back and collect the ball from the midfield, and good finishing.

Despite his history, I'd prefer Rooney over Eto'o any day of the week. And I hope and think we won't sign Eto'o. But then again, I didn't want Willian and that transfer didn't make much sense either (but it's not yet complete though... Here's to hoping it'll never be) so I guess you never know, huh?

Can you read? The article said the Chelsea agreed the transfer, but the announcement will be made next week. Willian deal is almost done.

and the mods should ban these stupid gifts, they are destroying the forum.

as for Etoo would be a perfect stopgap for the timebeing ! then we could go back for Rooney in winter or next summer when he is able to buy out his contract

yep think we've give it one last try, if they dont give in the 3rd time, dont see any chance of us going back with a 4/5/6 bid ...we've wrapped up eto'o as per the telegraph and just announce the willian etoo signing at once !

We are the ones who decide, we are bossing United and Tottenham.It makes perfect sense for me to put pressure on Rooney and United's board by making this offer to Anzhi.First it will hurt Rooney mentally to know he is going nowhere before the match, and secondly after the match it may change United's mind or the managers mind and we'll probably get Rooney if that happen.He cant really says he wasnt wanted here, Mourinho made two bids & will make a third one so if he stays at United its a win-win situation, we get two quality players, we fuck Tottenham and Levy and United will have a problem with their N°10.

But we need to have some home grown players. We just get rid of Turnbull and Sturridge and Moses probably goes on loan.

I just can't understand why we chase Eto'o. There are some great available strikers: Jackson Martinez has a 35 M pounds price tag, Lewandowski would be even cheaper(he'd be a free agent in 2014), we could also have Cardozo under 20 million.

Anyone but not Eto'o please.

Lewandowski? where have you been in the last few months? he only wants Bayern, he even said few days ago that Jose wanted to get him but he said 'no' to him, Real and United. Not available.

If we get Eto'o, for me it says Jose will wait for next summer to either get Rooney, or get Lewandowski, in case Bayern wont push for him. Eto'o is a stopgap option, a good one imo, Matrinez costs 35m and then you wont have the option to get Rooney/Lewandowski - the striker Mou realy wants as it seems.

first of all we dont know if its 2 million. secondly his wages will be high so it will be more than just 2m. and thirdly he ist just a player who doesnt offers anything anymore.

no he aint. i dont think that he is way better than torres or ba atm. he wont bring us forward at no means. dont get this transfer if it happens. will be the same as with essien, just because etoo and mou are buddys.

l didnt say way better,l said better and he is! Give me him over Torres and Ba any day and he will take the pressure off Lukaku... for £2mill? happy days

I just can't belive anything from Sun. Yes, he is heavily linked with Bayern, but I think Dortmund really don't want to let him go to Bayern, It'd worth a try.

It was well documented that he only wants Bayern. I belive Dortmund would have sell him in the beginning of the summer if he wanted to go somwhere else. You are suggesting teams havent tried him the all summer?

And now also Dortmund will reject any deal because the season started and they wont find a replacment.

I think he even sigend a new contract (only pay raise, not more years), and said he will stay and leave only next season.
